So after coming out to Bullhead and vacationing for the last 40+ years I have seen some interesting stuff to say the least.

I decided I would create a thread called "Straight Up Bullhead". It's a saying that I came up with to describe something when it just plain doesn't make sense. Go a head and post your own pictures too, if you have them. I will post more later.

When I got rear ended by the Mohave County Sheriff and they proceeded to give me a fix-it-ticket for one of my license plate bulbs being out. That was definitely "Straight Up Bullhead".

When I saw someone holding up a Consumer Alert Sign next to another person holding up a Jet Ski rental sign for $65 a day. I then found out that one of the local Jet Ski rental companies were charging $65 a day to rent their PWC and then charging the customers false damage fees to make up the difference while hurting the local legit companies. Interesting business concept, I never thought the damage side of the business would be considered the profit center. Now that is "Straight Up Bullhead".

Today I saw this fine gem, a Sea Doo being carried on the top of a Chevy S10 Blazer. That there is "Straight Up Bullhead".

(This is all in fun so don't take it personally if you reside in Bullhead.):D

When you pay for 50 MB/s of Internet Service and you get 1 MB/s. Now that is "Straight Up Bullhead".

When you buy a fishing pole at the local Bullhead Walmart and it breaks in half the first day you go fishing with it. I had to pull the fish in by hand. Now that is "Straight Up Bullhead".

If we could only get pics from one of Thursday night Loser's Lounge wet T contests...you would see some straight up Bullhead. Lol.....if I could only print pics from my memory. :D

That would need it's own website just like The People of Walmart. :D

When you go to have tile put in your Bullhead Condo and you find out that your floors are over an 1" off from one side to the other.

When you go to furnish your Bullhead Condo and you find out that you can't bring half of your furniture into said condo via the front door.

May have to start a vintage "Arrowweed Lounge" thread. Found a ton of the old stuff when I networked the external drive.

When you are driving down the 95 in Bullhead and you see a Sea Doo in the street and there's not an empty trailer anywhere around.

Riverside hotel. Not necessarily BHC but close enough lol. Monsoon flooded the pool, which flooded a lot of the casino floor and even Loser's Lounge, which they ended up closing around 10:30 :(

That Scion could be kinda cool if it was done right. Then again, I have a little Suzuki Sidekick that does the same thing.. But with 4x4...

I'd have to say that's "Straight up Chicken Shit".

So here is one I didn't get a picture of...

I was in Bumbleberry Flats at the Pioneer eating when I heard over their loud speaker giving a description of a boat that needed to be moved. After eating we went for a walk on the boardwalk to the next casino and sure enough the boat was still there. The boat was tied up to the London Bridge River cruise boat. I couldn't believe it, the boat was tied to the cleat of that boat and drifting in the current about five feet off its transom. To be honest I don't know how they got off the boat and on to the dock since it was a good four to five foot jump to the dock.:thumbsdown

We drove next to two guys with that jetski on top of the s10 blazer from Needles to BHC back in July. I kept saying, they busted out the windows so they could tie it down. Even had a lock on it and had probably been up there a while.
On our way back through there was some tweaker at the am/pm. Dude had the largest soda cup full of coffee. I think he made 3 trips to the bathroom while we were in there, I was only watching because my sister-in-law went in there and I was keeping an eye on the situation. I don't know what he was on or up to but damn, "straight up Bullhead" for sure!!

i will say Todd don't look very appeasing but i have been recommending his services for 10+ years to customers and I have never had one say he did them wrong

At first look I was a little worried the job wasn't going to get done but he actually did a great job. Not one thing damaged. I made a shout out in my house hunt thread. Him and his partner did a better job than the whole team I hired moving from corona to chino.

did you buy a yellow ElCamino back in the 1980's from a guy in the San Fernando Valley ?

I sold my ElCamino to a guy who commuted between the LA area and Bullhead . He had a Southwind and was very proud of it . (could not stop talking about it) At the time he said the Camino matched one of the colors on his boat .

For his 'test drive', we rolled up onto the 405, (at Budweiser) where he instantly hammered the loud peddle . Went from the on ramp to the fast lane and 90 MPH in about 850', and he stayed in it .

About now we are above 115 and I'm wondering if my insurance will cover what is about to happen . He slowed down, got off and back on at Burbank, and smiled as we drove back to his car and our friends .

He paid full price, because it ran as I said it would . As business was closing down, I said; "you won't need this", and I bent over to remove the steel two blade prop, I had attached to the 'slide in hitch' receiver. He laughed and said, something like that thing would slow him down .

Just before he left, I warned him about 'the noise at higher speeds' . I told him that; " if you are rolling along at higher speeds and you hear a 'knocking or a bumping sound', slow down . That sound is being made by the 'fiberglass shell' and it is trying to JUMP OFF THE TRUCK .

He replied; "I'll take that thing off if it slows me down" . HA HA

If it was actually you, you would remember how this all went down . The motor in that car kicked ass ......

Good story but it wasn't me. I didn't buy my Southwind until 1989 when I was 20 years old (first boat). I had a 1988 Toyota truck 4 banger and it could barely tow it up the pass on the 15 freeway at 45 MPH winding it out in second gear. The clutch went out the next year...:D
