Now, this may not be your thing…but your kids or grandkids it might be.
SLS is at the park this weekend.
This is a huge event, next to the Olympic it is the best. Some would argue it’s better.
It’s free which is great. It will be packed.

This is a huge deal for skaters in havasu. The park is well known for being great. The people that pushed for this park years ago should be happy, it’s not a piece of crap.

If it’s your thing this is your chance to see the best of the best. If it’s not your thing well…don’t go near it this weekend.

I went to an event a few years back at the Havasu skatepark, really good time
Even if skating isn’t your thing I’d suggest stopping by and checking it out. It’s an activity that gives the youth in Havasu and everywhere something to do other then just methin around wasting lives

My son didn't get into skateboarding till he was 18. Although late to the party he used those skills to ride to his classes at Cal Poly Pomona where he earned his engineering degree. I guess you could say that skateboard was a good investment after all...

I grew up on a skateboard. First park I ever skated was Concrete Wave Anaheim.
What was your first? So many back in the day.

Actually, the first was a little place in Vista next to the old SaltyDog boat shop across freeway from the courthouses. It later was a treated lumber place I think and now its a dispensery.

My first had metal skate wheels until I graduated to the red clay wheels. Then the cool plastic bendy boards showed up. Finally got a nice Logan, the wide Tracker Trucks and Sims Snakes wheels.
I actually still have my Snakes.😊

My first time to Del Mar was the first time seeing the scrawny kid ripping the pool up. That little bastard was Tony Hawk.

Skatopia in Buena Park was pretty fun too. It had a long half pipe that was up against a block wall. We would put a little cheater bar on the rear truck so we wouldn’t hang up transitioning from block wall back into the half pipe.
