Anyone want to ride this Sunday? We have a group of about 20 cars leaving Scottsdale at 9 am. Some trail riding with lunch at sheep’s crossing. There will be beer stops😁

We would be in but we are at the river this weekend.

It would be fun to do an RDP ride sometime out of Phoenix. Just need a heads up as the SXS stays at the river.

Bummer we are doing Turkey Creek to Cleator tomorrow, or I would consider it.

You crossing the Verde or going via 7 Springs? or a loop doing both.

Thanks for that CM. Still not clear as to which route. When you hit Bartlett Lake Rd in 11 mile wash, you can go either way. If you go towards Horseshoe/Bartlett Lake, the river crossing at Johnson Ranch is flowing at 600CFM. that's a bunch to cross in a RZR at that particular crossing.

Go left at BLR, you go through 7 springs recreation area and through Tangle Creek to get there. But you don't have to cross the river.

Yep can’t really cross the Verde with 600 CFS coming out of Horseshoe. 150 is about it.

My son just did the loop on his dirt bike today. Took 7 Springs. Rode the Honda over sheep bridge to the east side and went south and took the walk-way under horseshoe dam then back out horseshoe rd to get back

This was 150 cfs and it got deeper than this crossing.

Ha!! you get it.

20 years ago I was across the river about 2 miles downstream from where this picture is. We were Flathead fishing at the cliffs down the river. SRP, in all there infinite wisdom, raised the river during the night and were were stuck. We couldn't get back across at the crossing just down from this picture. We knew of a road that went overland towards the Wilderness area.

We took it, not having a clue where it went. It ended on a ridge. We saw a road off in the distance to the north. We drove cross country to it. We managed to get back to just above where your picture is. But we still had to cross. Not a chance. So we went to the spillway, took my Colt Combat Commander 45 ACP shot the lock off and drove out.

Good times

So this is Horseshoe, where did you guys end up? Not crossing Verde and running the east side of Verde I take it?

This is Saturday, my kid crossing on his dirtbike
