Did Placecraft ever sell one? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that hull before, but I like it.

Might want to revisit that swim step on the transom and make it a little more functional if you are messing around with tooling.

We are going to install a 3 step ladder flush to bottom. The step into the boat isnt huge, we will see when its finished.
It will live in havasu, so you can give some notes on it when we roll it out. The only tooling change we did was to cut out the front walkway damn.

I gotta load them on youtube tonight. nothing crazy, boat is rad. Like a big 23 place deck, the time to plane is my favorite part of the bottom design. Gator step floors come in today, will install sometime next week and will get some nice pictures.

View attachment 820277 We made the bow entry wider to match the 23 deck

You mentioned earlier that you like how quickly this hull gets on plane, any video?
520/565 for this one? Estimate of top number with each
Doors at the storage in front of captains chairs?
Interior similar to the previous one?
PICS, PICS, PICS,
Pricing

Chances of having one of the 277s at the LA show?

Here's a small clip. Note the trailer isn't for my boat, it was just used to move it around the yard.

Progress of the interior.

Good to see an update on this, I saw those on Instagram, the 277 has some nice lines, just not enough of them out there YET!!

What did you decide on power, I think I missed it.--EDIT, I see you went 520, solid choice.

Didnt he sell that one? Thought I saw it on Str8uptoytrader
Nope, he still has it. He had a lot of interest, but decided to hold on to it. I rode in it a few times, it hauls ass.

looking at the beginning of this thread and just noticed the retool of the front entry on yours compared to Rich's much wider.

Id be interested to see the leading edge of the front swim deck pulled back a few inches and create a sponson "tip" similar to what shockwave did on the old place 22

Do you have a delivery estimate yet, should be in time for this summer from the looks of it?

No need to apologize, Their 22 deck and our 23 decks are identical. Shit half my Extreme trailers say Shockwave on the Trailer tags by accident.

I do like the look of the 22 Shockwave, they did a good job. If a customer wants that look, we will cut and cap and see how it looks on the 277

The original 28 Placecrafts had this big wall up in the bow, so i ditched that. They only built 2 hulls then we purchased the toolings.

I remember those this one has the 600? the other one was black and red maybe?
Ditching the front wall is a must, especially for older maybe larger folk who want to walk off the front easily!
If that 277 was actually about the size of half way between what it is and your 23 it would have checked a big box for me, only in I need this last one to take me to my grave! I wont be able to handle a regular 28 deck at 70yrs old, maybe not even 65 who knows.

Being honest here. That look is way better than the flat front. Everything else is spot on.
