Making rethink plans to go back to Cortez for a few days. Just the Gladiator, not the Moho. Don’t want to winterize it.

We have radiant heat. The thermometer is resting on a double paned windows that had the blind shut behind it.
The thermostat for the room was set at 70. No tight ass here when it comes to comfort. LOL

This is from a local meteorologist:
The newest 6-10 day outlook shows it getting much much colder than our most recent cold front.
The darker the blue, the more likely you are to have BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES.
Current data has Oklahoma getting below 0 next week. Also, places like DFW, Houston and New Orleans could easily see lows around 10 degrees with the core of this cold.
This is going to be a huge deal as areas not prone to bitter cold(the south) could be dealing with a stretch of frigid weather.

After 2021, nothing is cold. My pool had 4" of ice on it. I bought one of the last generators at Northern Tool on a Sunday, and by Tuesday it was -4°, and the lowest temps were around -12°. That ran the refrigerator and a couple of space heaters. We had gas water heaters and cooktop, so it wasn't too bad. The power was intermittent for a week, more off than on.

Sunday thru Friday of next week looks like the coldest time we will get. Tonight might get down to freezing for a bit but until Friday can deal with it. Possible rain Wed though

When its rains it makes it difficult with the pups and I need to solve that problem.

Make them wipe their damn feet before they come in Tom. We have the same problem with the pups in Colorado when snow melts or rains. Plenty of good grass to walk on but noooo, they have to go where the mud is. If you figure out how to solve it you could make a fortune.

lol....true. I have to leash all three when taking them out. If not Phx heads straight for some mud to roll in :(

Whatever limited grass I have here is dead for the winter so I try to keep them on the driveway....isn't working so well :)

If you have a covered patio or porch you could get a patch of that fake grass for them to walk on before they come in.

Bathroom break with two huskies during the thunderstorms was a huge pain in the ass. We got some special microfiber dog towels from Chewy that worked pretty well.

I do but it is still a mess.....thinking of setting up some fake grass and a fenced area for them in conditions like this. The mud that gets between their paws is crazy. Plus Phx likes to do the ole scratch 4-5 times after shitting.....it just covers the paws.

I will get it figured out to be as less of a problem than it is but will always be an issue with pups. Just something to deal with

We had this as well on the inside. Soggy doggy doormat. The “towels” we had were the same deal, just handheld with hand pockets. Super absorbent.

Haha

My pup Roxy (RIP) did that to me when I took her out real quick before heading to a biz meeting dressed in a suit. I had her jump in the back of the truck and did a 911 bath at a groomer nearby. I was like how the fuck do I handle this one ;)

Precisely why I took advantage of my company's offer to put me up in a hotel and let them transport me to and from work.

It was 61 here today. I Almost broke out a hoodie!

But the sun was out, so it was fine. 😎

Evergreen is a very cool little town if I remember correctly. Just stopped in downtown but it looked clean and nice.
Love it here. My old man moved us here 34 years ago. It was a different world back then. But still a cool place to live and raise a family.
Down town Evergreen? You probably hit up the Little Bear? I've met people from all over the country that know the Little Bear.

My sister has lived in Evergreen for over 20 years. Although she spends winters in Florida now.

I think everyone who has been there, has a Little Bear story. 😂

From a local meteorologist:

Meteorologist Damon Lane

You don't see this often. WINTER STORM WARNINGS stretching from The US/Mexico border to The Gulf of Mexico and to the Atlantic Ocean.

It only takes 1"-2" of snow for this region to have a WINTER STORM WARNING issued by the NWS.

The forecast calls for as much as 4" of snow.
