That sucks. They're spreading all over Texas lakes, and the warm water is making them grow faster.
Flip side is the water has never been clearer! And in my case cleaning my boat actually makes me use it so I'm not terribly upset about them here

Couple big air shows coming up:
Blue Angels this weekend.
WWII show next weekend (https://wingsoverdallas.org/)

Anyone going?

I was gonna go see he Blue Angels, but I need to build a deck to keep a project on track...but I’m gonna check out the WWII show next week, it’s not far from my house.

Wings Over Dallas is a great show. My advise is to go early and go against the traffic to get in. Take the Ledbetter exit south from 67, and go east on Hampton to the airport entrance. Everyone takes the Hampton exit and it backs up big-time.

Thankfully I’m in Duncanville, not far from the airport at all. Could probably ride bikes to it [emoji106]

You gonna head over to see the show?

So this happened...Mrs. Pronstar convinced me to walk with her in the first-ever Dias de Los Muertos parade yesterday.

Then she proceeded to win Queen of the Parade...now she’s walking around the house acting like royalty and evidently this is my life now [emoji1787]

Not sure if any of you went, but the Wings Over DaLas air show, put on by the Commemorative Air Force, was amazing. They had 14 birds in the air at one point.

This is the launch ramp at the Cove RV Resort on Friday. Saturday the water was up enough to launch. We had to walk the boats across the sandbar.

Winter has officially hit Austin.

Spent my day today doing winterizations in near freezing rain conditions. 15-20mph winds sustained were whipping these clouds across the water.

I flew out of Vail, Colorado to DFW a few years ago in the middle of the winter. We had 12 feet of snow and light snow falling when we took off, go close to Dallas and they announce it was light snow at the airport.

I was on the window in first class and looked out an saw very light snow falling and a slight dusting on the ground. The lady next to me was panicking, said she couldn’t drive in the snow, lots of other Dallas folks were going crazy “how am I going to get home”. I told the lady just drive slow. She still was panicked.

I got off the plane, got the rental car and drove slowly to the hotel. No problem. New snow gives you pretty good traction. The next day, not so much.

Had the same thing happen when I lived in Austin. We had about 1/2 inch of snow, news media going crazy, I was the only one at the office that Friday.

Texans and snow don’t seem to mix. My buddy north of Austin just posted he’s supposed to get snow tonight....but he can handle it.

Texans can’t drive for shit when the weather is good...throw some snow/ice into the equation, and it’s a disaster.

But our roads do get pretty icy/slick at times.
So much so, schools close and business have people work from home.

Lake Travis waiting for my haulout truck and trailer to arrive. Sunny and 65 at the moment and dead calm. Absolutely enjoying doing nothing right now!

Jealous! It's been damn nice around here lately. About time to pull the cover off and burn some old smelly fuel, lol...
