I like to pool! There's a business in Carlsbad Village that sells hippy juice and snacks that's made out of one. Very cool idea, and a fun place to get a $9 juice[emoji106]

Things are so versatile. If I had property somewhere I'd probably bury one and have it as some sort of hidden bunker.

If I could get one down to the bottom of my backyard hill in Havasu I would get one.

Liked it better when that place was the waffle place. My sons classmate from CHS started the original business (waffle place), but his family had to sell it after he was killed :(

Back a few decades ago, we used a couple of 'shipping containers' for on set storage and to 'crash a Fed Ex plane' into the ocean . Placed one on top of the other, water sealed and set up a trap door with a funnel down to the windscreen of the 'plane' . The plane was on a moving gimble, to simulate 'erratic flight' .

As the CG people placed 'flying over water' on the windscreens and as the point of impact was reached, the actors stepped out . Dummy's for the actors were put into place, and when the action resumed, all hell broke loose .

The 'plane' took a major jolt and the water was released from the upper shipping container, right thru all the windscreens . Split second timing, great planning for every action and reaction of the 'plane' and the dummy's, put together with outstanding editing, shows in the movie crash sequence .

Those 'shipping containers' are a great 'tool' for FX people and a great 'starting point' for creative people in general .......

They are on Craigslist. Take a look. All different conditions.

Only thing is you want to be careful you aren't getting a stolen one.

Crap is stolen from warehouse trailer yards all the time. And back when I ran warehouses I had empty containers taken. I don't know if they sell for scrap or if they sell off the full container for storage. But it does happen often. I remember one where the cops found the chassis. So that tells me that they just want the container. Easy to get caught with chassis as it has a vin and license plate. Ocean can cops aren't actively searching every container number. Now it'll be flagged and never taken to the ports again as it'll get caught so they are doing something with those empty cans.

The container park in Vegas is a cool idea. We have a much smaller scale version here in alb.

I'd like to find 2 or 3. Is 8' wide the max? That's all I can seem to find.

TBWA/Chiat-Day, an ad agency I used to work at, has a bunch of them setup as offices for creatives.
