I am a Dukes fan, grew up on the show as a kid....

This is a pretty cool video showing another Fan who has some coin running down anything that was part of the show...and he comes across the very first car used.

Enjoy!

Funny you posted this. I just went through my box full of dukes stuff tonight that was in a closet.

I'm watching the Dukes of Hazzard right now. Just realized I changed my avatar last week from the boat to General Lee.

I think I read they used Chevy's in most of the cars but added golf balls in the mufflers so they sounded like a Dodge. :p

Grew up watching that show and loved watching it! Back in the day they used to do a lot of filming in Hidden Valley not far from where I live. My dad would take me down and we could see several General Lees on flat beds when they were filming jump scenes.

That car would be racist in todays world!

Just watched that video the other night on you tube. Pretty interesting how it all came about.

I would seriously love to have one of these. I don’t care if it’s a replica. The General Lee was my childhood and adult dream car!!

There use to be one in Lomita when I was a kid in the 80's. We would freak out when we saw it around town.

Huge fan when I was a kid.
