Not all off roaders. It’s also travelers passing by on the 395 roll in for a drink. It’s a popular watering hole.
The towns rentals, can hardly call them Air B&B’s but they are called that - usually sold out too. Sold out solid this weekend since Wednesday Neil told me.

@TPC- is all of Randsburg open? We are headed out for our annual Halloween trip next weekend. We usually do Spangler and head to the joint in Costume but we werent sure if the town was open. So we were gonna head to Dove instead- looks like they have a band playing "blue steel" or something....?

The General Store is said will open today and tomorrow. Dunno about Sunday. Expanded patios.

Joint open noon to midnight Thursday thru Sunday.
Neil often opens at 10am but officially noon.
Hollie usually noon.
The new bartenders name is Ocean.
Nice kid, snarky and funny at my expense.

We’re camped at the flats about 5.2 miles east of the 395 on Trona rd.
We’re told all Spangler camp areas open.
Ridgecrest’s excellent Elks RV park open too.

I’m going to do an extended You Tube video on the Husky Monument sometime over the next few Days.

A film crew was here for several days recording FORD SUV commercials.
Wednesday after the crew wrapped the guys all went to their rooms in Ridgecrest, the girls contacted a Neil to open the Joint.
Fun night.

Heading home Saturday.
Next trip Halloween at DUMONT.

A couple from Texas rolled in with an older 4 seat RZR and sat at the bar.
He wanted to talk about his new tires.
Texas Fairytales always start out your stuff is crap and his stuff is excellent.

"Ya'll have 28 inch on that CanAm. I got 30 inch. Ya need 30 Inch."
"No," I said "They're 30's on my Can Am."

"THE HELL THEY ARE!" -The Texan said

Then he said: " You got 6 ply, ya need 8 ply."
"No," I said "they're 8 ply on my Can Am."

"THE HELL THEY ARE" - The Texan said.

He walked me out to prove I was wrong,,, he was wrong.
He shut up after that.

Wifie had stretch of time off but then work called begging her to come in. So she’ll join me later in Spangler.

I had a punch list of fixes on the TH and a bag of parts so I’ve been busy until she makes it out here.

The Randsberg General Store is now the only place to get food and it didn’t open Thursday. Also was rumored to be closing or moving.

Randsberg was slammed with the Hook n Ladder gathering and the Cody ride for the next 4 days

First words people say walking into the Joint is “do you serve food?.”
Nuked burritos and they ran out.

Plan B friends and regular customers brought in food for a pot luck lunch kinda deal.
My wife’s chili was a hit as was my ribs.
El Borracho Coyote street tacos are amazing. My favorite.

The London Cafe Racers rolled into town early one morning.

I opened the door of my truck and people had slipped $20 through the window as a thanks for the food.
They love the ribs but my wife’s chili is the star. A remarkable stunner. It’s really fantastic - it made it rain $20s.
Not expected, we do this for free fun.

Surprised to hear about the General Store possibly closing, there is aways a line out the door when we have been there.

Anyone remember The Silver Dollar and Miss Kitty up in Red Mountain?

Some talk the General Store is eventually moving to a building down the street.

They eventually opened for a day or two and slammed with customers.
Terrific people run it. Hope they stick around.
Maybe it’s a rent cost issue.

Where ever they land always ask if they will have brownies or cookies that day. If so they are really good we buy a half dozen.

They bought just the business. Classic set up.
I heard the Covid delayed the move down the street.

Thats always been a problem in Randsburg. I’m sure it’s hard to find people to work seasonal employment on weekends only in a town of 200 people collecting Social Security, lol
