July 3rd 2012, i managed to sheer the 3 grade 8 bolts that fasten the cam gear to the cam.
Since then I've been building a newer mill. using the old block, crank, rods, heads and blower.
The engine got new bearings and a freshly ground and polished crank. The heads were freshened up too. The blower got a new rub down as did the polished intake manifold. If I ever do this again, Fresh Black paint will cover everything:D

That is very, very nice. Not much of a mechanic here, I've never seen a rocker setup like that, cool. Everything looks expensive. :thumbsup

The Stud girdles are a must on any engine that is going to run at a higher than normal RPM. I'm set up to run at 6500 rpm. I'm running hydraulic lifters. Cant go to much higher than that safely. The Stud girdles keep everything in line at hi RPMs. Worth their weight in gold :D

No name brand at all. This set up is by Jomar. They kinda invented these deals and everyone copied them. These were less than Comps or anyone else. The service was great too. There Studs are famous for not failing. I told them I haven't run them yet :D
