The Yamaha 3.3 liter was sent to Hydrotec and received a stage 3 kit…it is a powerhouse. 350+

hp range.

He hopes to trade Hallett for that Checkmate & cash then drag the Checkmate out here early May. He retires in 3 weeks then here full-time by early May & done with Kommiefornia.

I'm interested in the Axopar 22 T-Top.

It's not a fast boat though - with 200hp (max offered), has a top speed of 47mph.

Before I reach out to Axopar, can anyone guess if it could handle more hp? Is the hull design a constraint?

Really like the layout/looks, but it's a very different boat than something like the Tuff 20 I've been planning on (once Mercury Racing offers a V6).

If it's an engine weight issue for the Axopar, maybe I'm waiting for the same engine for both boats?

Still won't be fast, but if it could do 60mph, I'd be good with it.

Sadly I wouldn't hold your breath but I have ZERO inside info. It would be fantastic if they came up with a lightweight, possibly supercharged 4, that made 250- 300hp but I doubt there's enough customers for that. Maybe if enough fisherman cried for it.

Good friends picked up a 2003 Formula 41' cruiser. What a sweet ride. 13'8" beam, 496" HO with V drives. Its super quiet & comfy. He has a few lil bugs to work out but its gonna be a badass wavecrusher

Did get some boating in this weekend. Took the Checkmate to Boca Chica NAS for Blue Angels. Saturdays ride back Oceanside in 3 footers was not fun so Sunday we found our way down via backcountry route and had a nice ride.

Whatever I have that runs lol. Probably the vector. Last year was complete chaos for me and I never got around to do anything on my boats so .
It's no stranger to that river down there. Two years ago I ran over 1000 miles in four days between trips to Chattanooga and down past Guntersville.

One of my most favorite places to boat anywhere.

Malibu pier…Surfrider beach. My Grandparents owned the beach house right here. Many great memories. boating the coastline between Santa Monica and Santa Barbara going north, and Palos Verdes to the south. Great times!

I’d watch out for @lake p.a.l. and @HydroSkreamin on the miles running talk. Those two are not afraid to roll some clicks on the odometer. @BlowMe will do nothing but encourage it!
