We are planning for Saturday, April 1st (earlyish)...launching at Katherine's Landing and then roll up Lake Mojave at a pace everyone can handle. You can't get lost as there are no turn offs!

Just an FYI a lot of people from the forum do the dam a few months after this every year. Campbell Carl used to put it on. Now it's the CC memorial dam run.. There is a thread in the lounge.

Going to Powell for the first time this july, looking forward to it

It will be "the standard in which you rate a lake"

It is visually majestic, daunting in size, and can turn ugly in bad weather. Know your weather, stay out of San Juan arm unless you are brave and trust your equipment. No services!!
We did the San Juan arm, but in retrospect, it was a little crazy to do alone. If you break down, you are toast.

Exploring the canyon backwaters was unbelieveable!

All us Vegas whackers usually launch at Willow Beach or Cottonwood Cove.

We would want you to miss out on "The Bowl" ... Or should I say , "bowel" if the wind is blowing!!

I guess we could meet you there at the ramp!

A shot of the north half the bowl...

Gonna be very interesting to see how this boat runs. I know they cut it down a bunch but that's a BIG boat.

Welcome to RDP wackers!

The last weekend in April we are doing a run from Blythe to lake Martinez and back, about 120 miles round trip! Should be about 10-15 outboard boats

Shue, I'm guessing u didn't make it up this way for dlb run today? Hope to see the Rev on the Delta today. Gonna launch Benicia marina, hit up the Point in Rio Vista, Rusty Porthole, Windmill Cove, possibly a few more stops then back to Benicia. Probably 130-150 miles today.

Glad you are busy but sorry you couldn't make it. Skater ran great, she rolls over 3 footers no problem. We did 121 miles yesterday and had a blast.

There are 4-5 of us now and maybe more by then...its better for us to meet you halfway at Cottonwood. We have been on Mojave many times. The Willow Beach section is our testing ground!

Has anyone been up in Black Canyon lately? Bully wants to hear from someone who knows the upper river. Last thing we want is a bent prop!! Last time I was there, the canyon was closed my the Marina near the top...
Let me know, oh knowledgeable one!

Looking forward to running with you guys on Mohave. Meeting you at Cottonwood is no problem.
We'll let you lead the way above Willow. That stretch of the river is not my expertise.
Sounds like we're gonna have a great day.

Had a fantastic day on the dlb st patties run last Saturday. Did 120+ miles roundtrip with my brother, his 12 year old daughter and a few friends in our Skater.

I see what you mean about the wind. They are calling for gusts up to 37 mph. That won't work for any of us.

We will have to play it by ear as we get closer and see what the weather actually does.

Will be a blast to run F14 24 Skater & that 22 Progression chasing each other around the Delta. I would guess they are similarly matched speed wise and handling the sloughs should be a blast.

Took RD to Davis Dam and back today from Windsor.
Then Ran with Fallon marine to Parker dam back up to Topock gorge and back to Windsor.

Finished the day at 201 miles.

What an incredible day. Those 400s just want to run.
Still have over a quarter tank left

RD Took lots of pictures and video. My excuse was I was busy driving.
I'm sure he will be posting them up soon

Great looking boat. But I would have a couple more beers and swap the props before you go out again.
