Happy Thanksgiving girls & boys. We are headed to Discovery Bay in our cabin cruiser to spend Friendsgiving with Highvoltage329, KingofBeers & their wonderful wives.
Rain & 25-35mph winds will be perfect getting our cabin cruiser from Discovery Bay to B&W this morning......... Another HUGE thanks to Highvoltage329 & his fantastic wife for their most generous hospitality. We are incredibly lucky to have great friends like them.
Awesome time camping out with Kathy, you and William.Post pics of the seafood buffet! We finally got a flat ocean on 11-29 and scored huge limits of dunguness crab, one pot pulled up from 250 feet had 30 jumbos...crab feed was on again
I've had the green one for years..used to run a Mark 58 on it but it barely floated. It was stolen and I found the boat a few years later. With the 15 merc a 10.5 prop and a little work out of the box it runs 30 mph. A friend found the blue one last week so i went and grabbed it and have enough parts for another 15 so they will be identical. 35 is proberly doable after a little bottom work. They'll be reliable, float well with 200lb person, 6 gallons will last all day and anyone can get in and drive it. I think there is a market for these so next winter I may have molds made. For $2,000 I can probably build a hull with steering and shifter ready for a motor. Temps in the low 40's Sunday so time for another test spin.
Begging for a 40 lol. Cool boats. Having a pair of these would be awesome to teach future racers how to pass, enter corners etc...
I wish I had it... I looked it up on the internet. Vintage boat steering wheels! Googled butterfly steering wheels and saw possible options.
