I started a thread a few months ago asking for assistance in planning a trip from Ehrenburg to Yuma (now called The YUMA 250). The weekend is finally here., we leave on 11/11. A huge THANK YOU to Paradise, this guy stepped up and was a BIG help in planning our route. I sent him a .GPX file of the route I had mapped out, and not only did he take a look at it, this guy made a youtube video and explained all the areas to stay away from, hot spots to visit, and advised me that I dropped our route into a SHOOTING RANGE (that would've been BAD... hahaha). Totally stepped up without ever even meeting me and took a lot of time out of his day to help out.. THANKS AGAIN paradise, the group really appreciates it!!!!! So as of now, the plan is to leave our park in Ehrenburg at 7 AM. We should arrive in Lake Martinez around 10ish for a fuel stop. From there we head past Hidden Shores and into Yuma where we are staying at the Yuma Garden Hilton. Friday night we have cocktails/dinner set up at "The Lutes Casino" (not really a casino, but this place looks VERY cool). Saturday AM we leave Yuma and head back to Ehrenburg basically taking the same route, but maybe at a slower pace and check more stuff out, mines, scenic stops, etc that Paradise pointed out. There is (17) RZRs going... 33 adults and 16 kids... gonna be a long train of cars. Heres a pic of my car, if you see me, throw something at me to get my attention (preferably a cold beer) and say hi. I will update this thread next week with pics and details of the trip.

Awesome! We will look for you. We live on the north shore of Martinez right off of Red Cloud Mine Road.

Paradise (Zack) is a great guy. Did he explain to you the plate requirements when you come through the Imperial Wildlife Refuge (Red Cloud Mine Road)? It's something he got turned around for once.... :(

The route was PERFECT!!!! I'll try and post some pics Monday/Tuesday. Had an awesome time, lower river off-roading was awesome, between Cibola and Fishers there is some amazing canyons/trails.

Well, WE MADE IT!!! The final score.... (19) cars, (34) Adults (used lightly with this group), (16) kids, (3) smoked belts, (1) shredded tire, (1) roll over (more like a slow side flop, no damage/injuries), (1) skid plate torn off an O.G. 2 seat 800, (1) smoked CV, and one HELL of a GOOD TIME!!!! Two guys had to get trailered home from Fishers on the return trip on Saturday. One is the guy that lost a rear CV (he actually left his car there, jumped in another RZR and drove back later to get his RZR, wanted to complete the ride), the other not sure what was going on. His RZR just kept shutting down and he didnt want to risk being stuck in the middle of nowhere so he headed back on the 95 and met up with my pops 5 miles outside of Quartzite (of course once he hit the highway it never did it again...hahaha). All the other mishaps happened on Friday on the way South so it took a LONG TIME to get to Yuma, 8hrs 54min... Going home took around 6, but we took the 95 from Yuma into Fishers to cut some time (some of the ladies were "tired", some of the wives also... hahaha). The off-roading out of Fishers is REALLY COOL, lots of great canyons and trails ALL OVER the place. From Fishers south past Hidden Shores gets pretty gnarly. Some VERY technical hills with off camber turns that if you miss, your SCREWED!!! The ridge runs up there are AWESOME, the views were INSANE!! I was driving and didnt get to fully enjoy it, one missed turn could be really bad, and my wife kept reminding of it, hahaha. There is some REALLY nice places down in Fishers, place looks like a lot of fun. All the locals and Fishers employees were really cool and patient, we rolled in like a tornado for fuel, food, and cocktails. I can't say it enough, a big "THANK YOU" goes out to Paradise (Zack), he looked over my route and threw in his .02 and was key in making this trip work out!!! I owe yah one buddy :thumbup: You ever head North up to Ehrenberg area let me know, Ill help anyway I can.

No, didnt get to stop at any of them. The guy that showed up in Little Red Riding-hood (the name we all gave the O.G. 800 with NO 4wd and totally UNPREPARED) slowed us down so much that we were running WAY behind schedule. We didn't even get to stop at the tractor, a lot of people were really bummed about it.
