Big dicussion on FB about this setup ... I say illegal without more info ...
I didn’t think you could double tow from a bumper hitch. Fifth wheel is fine as long as your under 60 or 65 feet depending on what state your in.

is the question about about towing doubles or is it legal for a v-drive guy to own sea-doos?
side note, maybe time for a proper tow cover?

I’d like to see the hitch set up on the v drive trailer.
I don’t think California enforces laws anymore. Daily I see trailers in the carpool lane.
If it were me towing in the carpool lane I would get a ticket.I don’t think California enforces laws anymore. Daily I see trailers in the carpool lane.
You also need a endorsement on a class c driver license to tow over 10,000 pound trailer. Fifth wheel or not. Some states the amount you tow might vary. But most people towing a fifth wheel are over weight. The Leo’s just don’t really enforce it.
In California it's 10,000 tag trailer 15,000 5th wheel, but yes it's a non-commercial class A
NM used to specify the middle trailer had to be 5th. They removed that stipulation quite a while back.
Here, as long as you’re under length and the trailers meet the rules (lights, brakes if >3500lb gvw, etc) then it’s legal. I’d do that all day here and never think twice.
In California, isn’t EVERYTHING illegal? ;-)
