Yeah my deal is I am going with 4" tips and spacing is different on off the shelf parts. I like those tails they do not mix the water until the tip.I loved the old school logs, had a real nice set of NICSON manifolds and snails, I ended up destroyer the block when I filled up number 6 with water. the only thing we can think of is it had to push up thru my tips as I wasnt running a flapper. I have the motor very low in the boat, my drive shaft is right at 1/2 inch above my floors and I clocked the snails to be at the same angle as the valve covers. Was teaching a young man the ski so we were back and forth in big waves and when she locked up she bent everything. I just swapped over to Dana exhaust and down tubes, been out a couple times and no issues... so far... with this boat I am keeping my fingers crossed. I had to notch my hatch a bit but everything is still under the cover, at first start up it was a noticeable difference in sound for sure and I am breaking the prop loose out of the hold, torque is noticeable up and we put the same basic engine back together just 60 over vs 30. I run Nicson logs on my flat and have no intention of changing them but felt it was necessary for the day cruiser.

Getting there, maybe I should have started from scratch.......
No steep driveway just protecting underwater gear better than it was. Thought about it on the bolts.Dayum, that is going to be one STOUT trailer. Looking great and I love the bronze bushings in the rollers, you must have a steep driveway or someplace thats gonna need em. Are you going to run bolts with zerks?
Lol no engine is still on the stand. Next year I hopeHmmm, build from scratch, reuse axles, cut up old trailer, transfer old Vin and plates to new creation, go boating. Not a bad idea.
Progress looks great.
I take it you didn't go to the Havasu Trump parade. In the rdp video, a double step day cruiser at the 36 second is mark looks like yours. Or mine.

So I am on the fence about this. Had a float bar and i want it to be easier for me to load solo. Winch mounts just above brace and jack will just fit in between. I just think it looks reeeeeal tall ! any other design Ideas?
Simple as it gets+free electric oven, Eastwood dual voltage gun and some good powder. I am into it for $300 at this point with powder so that doesn't take long at a shop! Prep is key sand blast/pre-heat to get shit out of material /wipe down with acetone etcVery nice!
Tell us more about your home powder coat set-up. Every time I take a bunch of CS little parts down to my PC guy I think, I should just figure out how to do this myself...
elim21- you are doing a great job on this project. Question for you. Where did you get the trailer coupler chromed? did you buy the unit already chromed or did you need to send out? Thanks

I took a new one apart and had it plated.
That is a really cool idea/design! You need to be careful though as the different ramp angles and water levels can cause contact with the boat in unintended areas. You would need a SS contoured armor plate area up around there to give yourself insurance against that potential damage.View attachment 943115 View attachment 943116 View attachment 943116 View attachment 943117
So I did this as a trial , would have to shorten it so hook will pass by. any other ideas??????
Boat is looking great. Bet you can’t wait to get it back in the water
Probably going to ditch it and go roller lolThat is a really cool idea/design! Looks awesome though!

Probably going to ditch it and go roller lol
All .120" wall. She is a tank! lolGreat job! If you don't mind me asking, what size tube thickness did you use for the trailer beams?
I saw this, Great work on the contour ! I think they are the same brand fenders.Looks familiar! Must be fender mounting season
I absolutely love how your wheels came out. I’m going to replace mine next year.
Nice work
