What’s cherry coke thing about? Sounds good!
Injected the shoulder with cherry coke and sprayed it every hour or so while it was smoking. First time doing it that way honestly didn’t notice a ton of difference. Also used a cherry wood and pecan mix.

What woke me up is at the NPBYC we had/have a Wednesday steak & rib & tri tip night. All monies went to a local special needs school.
Wood was/is donated by a local tree trimmer. Meat was donated too. Volunteers cooked and served.

One day the wood donation guy came by and dropped off red oak and brought it to my attention that it's the best. IDK, wood was wood. WTF do I know?

Wow did all the meat taste 1000% better. Woke me up.
That got me interested in smokin' meats.

Julienne slice jalapenos and lay them on the loin and wrap bacon around.
Or insert jalapeno under bacon after it's wrapped to make it EZier
You almost need 3 hands to do it

Anyone have a good wing recipe?

I have tried different ways and they always come out tough on the outside.

I have skinned them. then rub and smoke for 2 hours. Skinning sucks and not worth it. Outside tough.

I have smoked them with skin for 6 hours and skin is tough and chewy.

Anyone have a sure fire way to get them so that the skin is good?

If I recall @was thatguy had a good wing recipe. Not sure if they were smoked or not.
