It’s the smallest patio smoker JH Smokers build. He builds them to order out of his shop near Lake Matthews in Southern California. All 1/4 steel. Works really well. Any issues have been operator error. I’m enjoying it.

I received a Big Green Egg for my birthday on Tuesday. For the first cook wanted to do something that seemed easy.


It could have used some red pepper flakes with the marmalade but it was really good. Pellet grills are overrated…Green Egg for the win.

Stop on by at 185ez’s. Lol

how does one duplicate this one?

Get whole head of cauliflower. I microwaved it for 7 min. Slathered with Mayo and season with what ever seasoning you like. Take shredded parmesan cheese and stuff it in the cracks. Some will break off but the cheese will melt a little so I just formed it back into shape using the cheese to stick it back together. Put it on the the smoker at 350 for about 40 min.

We went to Rebel BBQ on Acoma today. I thought thier brisket was pretty darn good.

That's all we could find at Costco as well so we are doing ribs instead. There is a lot more fat in a packer so the stall shorter.

I don't know if you have a minutes per lbs that you use as a rule of thumb for a flat but I do 75-80 minutes per lbs and a packer I do 60-65 per lbs. The meat is usually done 1-3 hours before we want to eat but at least we aren't waiting, wrap it in foil and a towel and put it in an ice chest and it's still piping hot 3 hrs later.

My husband finally found a recipe & instructions to cook steak on the Traeger. It was delicious!
It’s been a bit of a struggle, our condo has a small back yard so we really don’t have space for a bbq & smoker. He loves to make jerky & tri tips, I want burgers, chicken…….he has learned to crisp or char different meats.

While I was smoking a tri tip with applewood my wife was busy turning last years trimmings into massage oil, cooking oil, and the neighbor requested some honey mustard salad dressing.
We warned them this batch was Heavy on the THC side and light on the CBD.
I really hope he wasn't dipping chicken strips or something in it. The wife just went to check on him LOL.

I have never BBQ whole corn. How do you prepare the corn for the grill?
I don't know how he does it exactly but the way I do it is peel complete and wash/dry, rub evoo on it and place directly on grill, rotate 1/4 turn every couple minutes and in 6-8 minutes it's done complete w/ grill marks and that oh so tasty carmalization of the sugars in it and heat. Butter, season to taste and enjoy.......give it a go and you will be hooked......
I too would like to hear how he does his. Always like to learn new methods of food prep and flavor building profiles.
currently I'm learning the wonders of my new blackstone griddle. I'm not ready for the bennihana show yet tho.....haha

evoo= extra virgin olive oil, Agreed, anybody have a drone with a blood hounds nose on it? Maybe we can track him by scent????
