Stop 1 - Ultra Boats - gel repairs, sponson maintenance and warranty on the half-cap.
150651E9-D117-455F-A9BB-33A9745C27EB.jpeg

Had a long discussion with Rusty this summer and he won the work when he said he would warranty the transom cap, three years after it was done.

Spent time talking to Andrew at the shop as well. I was shocked to see all the builds on the build board! Things seem to be moving in the right direction for Ultra again.

@sirbob - we talked doors and flooring update. Getting rough quote on flooring and the door panels can easily be added. Call and talk to Andrew at the shop.

felt the same way until I talked to Rusty in June. Then talking to Rusty and Andrew today and seeing the build board, felt even better.

Trailer needs more work that the boat this year. Just got the trailer bunks done, and need to fix the brakes.

Boat just needs a new bilge pump, and trim ram seals. I may have the bottom cleaned up this off season.

Winter upgrade.. bigger boat..😉

thought about that.
this one works for our family and since my oldest is 25, this one will work when I entertain grandkids. Scary part is I will have grandkids prior to my youngest graduating high school.

moving out of my Islander spot this weekend. Time for desert season and quad riding with my daughter and teaching her to drive the Jeep.

weather is awesome and wife approved Islander park model once out ToyHauler ages out :)
Not really about the work you're getting done and offroad hobbies, it's the term "winter" you used😂

Nice list of upgrades @Singleton Always nice to get it dialed before the next season.
We had Sean do the bunks a couple weeks ago. Replacing a few LED’s on the trailer tomorrow. I need to do the sponsons for sure later at some point. My wish list is to re-gel all white but keep the black up top Reality is a rebuild of the 525’s is around the corner..
PS I look at Ultra’s yard most every time we pass it They have quite a few boats in the yard It’s not the same bunch there They seem to be finishing a lot of jobs..

they had boats in all phases and multiple sales with over 50% with deposit down. Deposit = boat scheduled for mold.
Andrew @Ultraboats1 was a great addition to the shop. Hope he stays around!

Before setting off into the trim ram reseal job, remove the anodes (two 8mm machine screws each) clean the shaft then clean the anodes. Spray a little wd40 or similar on the shafts run drive up down up down a few times then put anodes back on.
Sounds dumb but worked for me when i read to do that. The seals get a little debris in them and then start leaking a little.
Unless it’s a major leak.

I’ll give that a shot. They were just done 2 years ago and only one has developed a slow leak. There was a couple drops on the ground at the beginning of the season, then the leak went away, now it is back.

I have a small leak on the bravo transom seal. I put silicone around it and stopped the leak but will need to pull the motor and fix it or I may replace the whole transom. If I replace it everything in engine package will be rebuilt or new.

I’d bet a bag of Hi-Chews that will solve it then lol.

First I’m shooting for new teak floor overlay. Then depending on time and budget add extended swim step, stereo upgrade looks like a next year project. Hope to get the annual service done sometime in December.

work started today! Only have 1 remote to my storage condo, so boat was dropped prior to work beginning.
I knew when I dropped the boat off, Ultra needed 3-4 weeks before they could start. @Ultraboats1 is doing a great job keeping me up to date. So far I have had zero issues or concerns with using Ultra

Its a really big 24 and checks all your other boxes.
I'm trying to find it a good home. Its a turn key boat.

My boat is currently at Nordic getting a new upgraded outdrive because I broke it and having them install a new bimini. I was hoping for an interior and sound system this winter but the outdrive put a dent in that plan.

That 50 HP won't be missed, the three MPH gain ain't much. It's a nice boat and the price looks good.

No pics in the water. It sits fairly high though, considerably higher than my XS and handles big water like a shit brick house. If my boat were a Corvette, this one would be a CTS-V. I haven't been in this boat since the last time I worked on it in June unfortunately. I remember the hours being very low but I dont recall the exact number.

Engine and drive were fully serviced as of June as well as 2x new engine hatch actuators, and a completely brand new stereo: Kenwood Bluetooth head unit, wired in Captains remote, usb/aux port, 4000+ watts of Boss equipment with twin fusion 10" subs.

I was extremely surprised when I saw it sitting on our sales lot. Its only ever needed service in the years that I have known the boat and been its caretaker for the owner, with the only exceptions being the stereo and engine hatch rams.

Started the process of getting the 525’s refreshed. Put the deposit down with Barrett this week. Looking forward to being dialed in to start next season.
Next up on the wish list is to get rid of the flames/tribal and fix the beach rash. Got a couple quotes that were pretty much identical. Still working out the details but am pretty damn excited about next season

Moving along as agreed. Had a few decisions I had to make about the fade repair.
Due to my schedule, should be picking it up early January. Should be finished before Christmas.
I am pending my update this week.

Should be done before New Years.
Rusty and @Ultraboats1 (Andrew) brought out someone from CA to complete the gel repairs in the fade.
At least Rusty has the color code for the custom colors JW dreamed up.
