Tonka Town / Wells Cabin / F-104 & XB-70 Crash Sites - Camp & Ride

Run is May 19 but we'll be arriving a few days earlier to camp out. Just showing up for a day run is welcome too.

Wells Cabin:

Estimate that it will be between 45 - 50 miles round-trip and rate it as intermediate for both 4-wheeler's and 2-wheeler's. We will leave the staging area just off Copper City Rd at around 9AM. We will head into the Black Mountains and over to the F-104 and XB-70 crash site monuments. We will continue through the mountains over to Murrphy's Well and then drop down into the desert floor.

We will then head over to Tonka Town (yes there is a town made up of Tonka toys in the middle of the desert). After exploring the town we will take trails over to the Wells Cabin and then to the Starbright and Olympus mines.

We will then head down through the hills back to our staging area.

If anyone is in let me know so I can give them a head count. They need that to arrange guides and groups. As we’ve learned if a group is too big every breakdown means more people have to hold back. 5 to 7 in a heat works best.
