I never thought the gas prices would effect me but holy shit.. this ain’t for the weak of heart. 😳. My truck was low in fuel so I figured I’d fill it up.. the god damn pump shut off at 175.00 before the truck was completely full.. lol.

Someone put a sticker on the inside of my gas flap when they borrowed my truck.. I’m gonna heat gun it off here soon.

Anyhow I went and got the boat.. 150 gallon tank.. Thank god it was half full but still. I am embarrassed to say how much I spent just in fuel yesterday.

The Springs itself.. I haven’t been there in awhile. This place was on fire yesterday!!

Nichole Was an AWESOME waitress.. We would order appetizers and they were out in minutes.. it was pretty incredible.

The food was amazing

Hard to even get pics of the appetizers / scorpion bites / dumplings / shrimp.. kids went for another order on the potstickers..

Kids split a filet / Stacy and I split a prime rib. Both excellent..

The 49g tank in the F350 sucks to fill. I usually go inside, tell them clerk I need $300 on pump X and they look at my funny. Glad my boat runs on 87.

The ride back never disappoints. Absolutely epic evening and night!! One of the better ones I have had recently!

You can’t see it in the pics but my youngest was running 45-50 mph all on her own..

Hey, my ass made it a point to run all the fuel out of the SeaDoo's on Friday. Used every last drop of that stale two-stroke crap left in the tanks from fall!
Friday night, 82$ to fill up two shit boxes:oops:...and burned through half of that Saturday.

Sand on the beach was great, water was cool...and everything made it back to the ramp!

Cant believe somebody would put a sticker on your truck

One of my buddies borrowed my truck awhile back and they told me they put it on the inside of the gas cap.. I was wasted, and for the life of me can’t remember who it was.. lol. I’m not a big fan of that shit either..

As soon as people get their 1st -2nd credit card fuel bill , Havasu will slow down …
Coming off Memorial weekend July 4th weekend going to be interesting. Judging the weekends in between both holidays looking like LHC people are compensating. Cutting back wherever possible in order to flip off the incompetent voters and their leaders who have totally sold us out. All of us need do what we gotta do,work hard and enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend. Fuck em.

I thought it was just me crying about fuel cost . Pump shut off at 150 and that was only 3/4 of a tank . Looked like a great day out on the water !

If this makes you guys feel any better…….. I just filled the tank on my boat in anticipation of The 4th of July holiday, in which I have houseguests staying. My boat had a approx a half a tank of fuel. I topped it off, for a total bill of just under $500. I did get free ice for my purchase. Lol

However, I can go 400 to 700 miles on a full tank!

Those basic cheap pontoons with a single 90hp outboard are looking pretty good about now
Was thinking the same.
One of the JC Tritoons we owned had a V6 Mercruiser in it. Plenty of fun, ran well, skied behind it and couldn’t run the gas out of it at season end.

The average family can’t keep these hobbies going or at least at the same frequency. If I take the Jeep it’s 35 cents a mile. Go into town for dinner, add $10 to the bill as a gas surcharge. Lib party literally destroying America.

I've always been a river more than lake person. Unless I'm in a group, I've always headed up river. Had some really long "floats" back to the ramp over the years.
We went to Blythe couple weeks ago and it was amazing. Definitely more chill than Havasu and Parker. We have a place at springs so thats where we boat usually.

I used to bitch about how Ford engineers decided that my standard bed F250 only need a 26 gallon tank, but the long bed got the 37.5 gallon tank, even though the 37.5g would fit in the standard bed...but now, even though it means more stops....it hurts less to fill up...lol

as long as a i can remember my old man and his buddies always told go upriver and you can always get back. some of the best advice ive gotten. those long floats can be fun depending on your attitude. ive had a few and as long as the cooler is full and crew is in a decent mood, we just turn it into a party. ive even had people ask me to just head upriver and lets float back for an hour.

Some of the best times at the river were the big floats back to the ramp at then end of the day. In Blythe the standard practice was to head up river in the morning, just before sunset everyone would float back to the ramp, sometimes we would have 10+ boats all floating together. Saved a bunch of gas and hours on the boats lol.

When I was younger. We water skied all day on Parker. Boat ran out of gas around Sundance. Floated to echo and anchored up lol. That was a long float
