I guess the Navy does cool things sometimes...

Can’t wait for this to come out though.

Been rewatching this and laughing like a kid from nostalgia and the utter coolness of these shots- the turkey feather and carrier launch scene being simply awesome.

Limited CGI - real planes have a look that can't be matched by models.

This is my day job.

Claudio Miranda is using our FS/HDR product on these shots and in doing so changing production workflow along Muti rez, bit depth and dynamic range simultaneous masters from a single shot.

I joke and kid but she actually sounds like she's at peace and happy with her life which is cool. Can't be upset at her for that. Sounds like she's had a rough go over the years. Raped, addict, mental health issues.

Lol....I thought I was the only one to think it will probably be as corny and gay as the first one. I never understood the hype. :D[/QUOTE
Yeah, same here. When you’ve actually worked on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier do you realize how corny and dramatized that movie was.

I was just a kid when this movie came out and it was a huge reason I had to own a Sport Bike when I was old enough, A 96 GSXR SRAD:) Watching Miami Vice as a kid is also the reason I’m addicted and own a Go Fast Boat:) Can’t wait to see it!

My cousin worked on the crew filming alot of this movie in Tahoe, and out at the dry lake bed. The entire crew was on the lakebed to get the shot of the F-18 ripping along less than 100' above the ground, it flew right over them full afterburner then does the "pullup" you see in the 1st trailer. He has his own footage from his Iphone. So awesome

I can’t even imagine how much it costs or how much red tape one would have to go through to make one of these movies

Funny you say this; because I agree 100%

* The Doors
* Tombstone
*The Saint
* Heat

and more.

All required real acting; not just being yourself. He is awesome.
Try the under the wire sleeper, Salton Sea. The movie is twisted beyond belief and Kilmer is outstanding. Crazy ass movie.

The roll away shot in the front is epic - as is the afterburner pull away shot that starts at 2:20

The white haired guy at :05 is the cinematographer Claudio Mirada We've been working with him since the beginning using our high dynamic range box FS- HDR- of which every shot you see has gone through for color matching and resize purposes.

Check it out

It's gonna be hard to match the original. I'm gonna go see it and hope for the best! Hard not to enjoy watching fighter jets blow shit up in surround sound.

Going to have to see it in the Drive-in like the first one.

I have 4 cassette tapes in the top of my rollaway... Two mix tapes that a girlfriend made for me 30 or so years ago and the complete soundtrack from TopGun. A high school buddy of mine worked in a theater and did a direct line recording. The four tapes are all but worn out but the memories are still 100% It should come as no surprise that the girlfriend who made the two tapes and I will celebrate 23 years of marriage April 1st

She has NOT lost that loving feeling...

Do you think the funeral scene in the sequal is Val Kilmer? Or maybe Tom Skeritt?
