that is one of my favorite trucks was tossing the idea around of going with a slammed dually when I bought my truck:thumbsup

Same here. Next on the list is to add a decent system and get some bumps

Just a guess here but I'm thinking that you and every gas pump from here to Marina Manor are gonna become friends!

I can get you set up with a shop if you want.

Fockin A Carl, she sucks it down faster than my first girlfriend

Once things settle down a little I want to do a build but do an duramax/allison conversion or a cummins conversion to one. We have an older sub that lives out at in parker now and I forgot how bad big block trucks were until I drove that thing (have had diesels for about 10 years now) Still one of my favorite all time River Cruisers though.

When I think back to when I was a kid, my memory of the ultimate tow vehicle is a lowered Chevy dually :thumbsup

Back then, I would have killed just for the chance to ride in one.

My Pop's 18 ft Patterson with the excalibur, Lake Coeur d' Alene Idaho. This is the front yard area. The CS little car wouldn't pull the flaty for shit, so the 'ol man sold it :D He's getting a hitch installed on the '30 chevy for this summer :thumbsup

What year is the Excalibur? We have a 76 with a corvette engine. only has 8000 miles, guy before it drove it to the store on sundays in discovery bay and thats it.

keep telling my dad he should tow the raceboat down to the marina with it for shits and giggles next time we train for a week down there. Its the "yatch club car"

Here is mne
Ford1.jpg

I briefly thought of selling it, regained my senses when I read Cali's new smog laws and realized it is exempt, since it was built prior to 1-1-98.

I miss my 97. It was a great truck.

Everyone else catches up when you stop for fuel :p
What kind of mileage you see in that thing when towing?

I had a Procharger on an Expedition.
When towing, it was under boost all the time and I got 5 mpg :(

I had a 99 Tahoe with a 350 vortec and a whipple. My wife would get 19-22 mpg out of it. I averaged 14 unless I was on I-5 with cruise control. I like the sound of the blower too much I think?! still have the truck, but the frames wasted. :grumble:

Mine was a '97 5.4L.
I never got anywhere near 20 mpg, but averaged about 15 when not towing.

Towing...performance was great, mileage was abysmal, one big reason why I went with a diesel.

The sound of a blower can't be beat :thumbsup
The whipple sounds like what you'd expect of a blower, love that sound.
A Procharger sounds more like a jet turbine..straight-cut gears are noisy.

Oh the thing got on it no doubt! I had a new mustang gt try to come around me one time. The look on the guys face was priceless cause he couldn't pull on me. Then I looked down and I was clearing 115 on 33" all terrains and a procrap lift. Put 175k on that motor and blower and never let me down. Broke everything else behind it though.

One I miss my two door tahoe

Two I really dig your 08 silverado, that would be my next truck/vehicle if I get another rig.

Here is a pic of the upgrade from the two door tahoe. 99 Tahoe limited police package.
