I have all the parts to safely tow the 13 JKUR behind the Coachmen except the braking system. I’d like a progressive type system but don’t have air brakes and really don’t want the storage hassle of a Patriot unit that sits on the floor and has to be removed all the time.

So I’m looking closely at the Roadmaster Invisibrake setup.

What experience do all of you seasoned RVr’s have to share?

I have an invisibrake on mine and am happy with it so far. It was kind of hard to hide in my 1998 tj.

I use ready brute elite. It is a built in surge brake connected by cable to jeeps brake pedal. Has a separate break away cable and mechanism in case you lose the Jeep. I have a turn buckle in line to adjust the actual breaking.

I use the classic brake buddy that sets in the floor. It works good, set up is quick and easy. 5 minute install and couple minutes to remove.

Probably going to sell my Brake Buddy, cheap, just going to run it by the mrs. Stopped my 1 ton E350 4x4 behind our bus no problem.

I used an Invisibrake on my JLU behind my gas motorhome for tons of miles and was really happy with it. Once installed it was a piece of cake to connect the Jeep and start towing. Recently picked up a diesel pusher with air brakes and will probably move to an air system (it actually came with a road master air setup) but haven’t decided.

If I decide to let the invisibrake go I’ll let you know.

I love my rvi brake. Easy and very effective. Plus you can include a tire pressure monitoring system with the rvi system

I also have a brake buddy and tow bar for sale. It came with a coach I bought and I will never use it.
