Today was a good morning. Woke up early and assembled my Father’s Day gift. Finally upgraded to a new Traeger Silverton 620. To my knowledge, this model is only available at Costco. I really like it!

To say this thing was packaged well would be an understatement. There was plenty of cardboard and it was well organized. The outer box even turns into a kids playhouse.
Only complaint so far is the power cord is a little short. Other than that I can’t wait to explore the new wifire technology!

I got the same one last year from Costco for Father's Day. I love it so far. The wifi is great for phone use and it also comes up on my Apple watch. Did a brisket flat from Costco for this weekend. The only issues I've had so far is I have a hot spot on the back left corner which I try to stay away from and i've noticed occasionally the pellet dust can gather in the cooking area and get on the food. I clean often and try to keep it out of the wind and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Good to know [emoji1303]

I’ll let you know if it has the same hot spot. The app is pretty damn cool! I won’t feel tied down at the house during a long cook.

I added a longer cord to my Treager, it gives it a bit more flexibility on my patio

Does Traeger offer an after market cord, or did you re-wire it?

I just rewired it, bought a 12 or 15 ft cord, I don’t remember if I cut the cord and spliced in the long one or if I went into the junction box under the hopper.
I extended 3 cords -
Treager, gas grill and my swamp cooler all at the same time 4 years ago.

I wanted to get the smoker out from under the patio cover, the smoke would hang under the cover then get inside the house.

Nice score for Fathers Day !
I've got one of the small Traeger Ranger table-top models and love it. I just cook for 2 and it's plenty.
I know "Purists" poo-poo on pellet grills, whatever, I don't the have time or interest to play 'Paul Bunyan' loading hickory into a 3000 Lb. off-set smoker.
I suck at cooking and have never wrecked a meal on that little Traeger . . some meals have been better than others, but i've never wrecked one.

Haha… that’s for sure. Here’s a pic of Ol’ Faithful. It still works. Just has some “character”.

Haha I’ve had mine since 2013, thing runs like a champ. I Can’t keep the damn cover from blowing off tho, it’s looking a little rough these days

Had mine for over a year looks brand new... Of course I store in the garage covered.... Ceramic coated it, and use detailer on every time I'm done with a cook. Oh and Trader Joes coffee rub (2.99) is a must for Tri Tip.

My cover has eyelets at the bottom. I use a bungee cord to keep the cover from coming off in the wind.

I’ll have to get one. Didn’t notice those eyelets on the sides until you mentioned it. Thanks 🍻

So, you got the Easy Bake Oven?
Cute.
