I'm building a HOLY GRAIL trailer (no leaf springs) and need to paint it. I plan on painting the underside with a durable undercoating paint and the top side with a colored automotive paint. The question here is what is a good bare metal underside paint for trailers? It has to be paint. Not doing anything rubberized as it will tear and hold moisture and rust.

2 component Epoxy primer (industrial or automotive) will be your best product overall for impact and rust resistance. Abrate or sandblast metal to achieve best adhesion perf. Etc and make certain surgace is free of oils or contaminants just prior to applying. Protect surroundings from overspray if it can drift and cause an issue.
