This may be a dumb new guy question but, are most of you guys running a tranny or velvet drive?

I almost used a Velvet, but ended up putting a T400 in my project.
I could of had a flat floor with Velvet, instead of the raised center cause of T400

Powerglide. Shorter, look better in v-drives. These are tough enough for dragsters and dirt trackers. only weigh 89 pounds with out convertor. Save park for tuning, etc. 1st gear good for idling around no wake zones. I have never used a cooler. had one in every v-drive. Present one is on its 8th year. My setup is similar to this one. unable to find my pics.

Mikes transmission in Lancaster cab build you a glide for up to 2000hp he’s pretty reasonable considering. He races on what he builds. Hard to find guys like this anymore.
