It's about fricken time.. President Trump has asked Trey Gowdy to come on board as "Outside Council" and Gowdy said YES!!!!! Now, sic Gowdy on to Schiftt, the lying POS....Then give Barr an ultimatum, Indictments by November 1, or clean out your desk...With Gowdy waiting in the wings Barr just might find he needs to act NOW...
Good move Mr President, but you're still gonna lose in 2020 if nothing gets done in the order of "No One Is Above the Law"...NOW, DO IT NOW and put this impeachment crap to rest....

Simple.

Gowdy is going to help Trump here about as much as Bolton changing from Jack Sparrow to Forrest Gump helped the song...

And if you find this absurd welcome to the reality of Trumps defense of his behavior.

You know Durham has asked for more investigators, and has expanded the time line to the start of Mueller's investigation, also looks like Mueller lied under oath about the FBI interview and had already met with Rosenstein and knew he'd be the special prosecutor if he didn't get the FBI job. Also Horowitz report due any day, shits going to get interesting. I'm guessing some of the clowns on here will really be spinning in the next couple of weeks.:D

It is a good move. His current team has lost all credibility and we all know how well Trump does in that department.

Yeah, for sure why would anyone hire Trey
Gowdy’s devotion to the law was sealed by a personal tragedy. A family friend named Jeff Adams was murdered shortly after Gowdy graduated from the University of South Carolina law school. The senselessness of Adams’ death drove Gowdy to seek a sense of purpose beyond the job he had landed in a corporate law firm, so he fled for the grittier world of state and federal prosecutions, he wrote in 2001 for Slate.HE NEVER LOST A TRIAL IN COURT IN 20 Years as a prosecutor according to Rolling
Stone

I still find it to be bizarre that although all of the democrats on this forum and in general do NOTHING but hate on President Trump, they can't come up with even a single viable candidate to run against him in 2020. In fact the democrats can't even come up with a viable plan for for the country to run on. The party as a whole is nothing more than a clown show. Every scandal and investigation over the past 3 years has resulted in the democrats looking like idiots. Your party can't even find as much as a parking ticket on President Trump and continue to be proven wrong over and over with your ridiculous claims and investigations, but yet you continue beating the horse. I've got some news for you, the horse is dead. Get over it!

Yeah, I saw that too. The run up to the 2020 election will be pure gold if they put HRC up against Trump again.

AND, no one, here or in DC, can come up with a single reason for all this impeachment crap... The "Phone Call" fell flat when he released the transcripts, and nothing else even comes close to "High Crimes and misdemeanors". Palosi was so desperate to keep control of her cockass she gave in to them and went ahead, even before the so called evidence was known to anyone except Shitty Schift....Oh, wait, so Schift counciled the so called WB,, briefed Palosi and she spoke out before she supposedly knew about it... More dimturd lies... Mr President, do something NOW, or lose in 2020. Gowdy was a good move, follow up, give him free rein to open a can of worms the dims don't want opened...

But that’s the thing, they actually think those buffoons ARE viable candidates.

Thats a Gowdy quote BTW... And He not only started with Holder and HRC, there were investigations for three years and $25M with no charges.

By any reasonable measure Trump has exceeded the legal standard that led to impeachment proceedings against Nixon. The difference is Nixon respected the country enough to step down...

Gowdy was in ALL the classified hearings relating to the Russia hoax. Trump just hired an undefeated former prosecutor who's in possession of top secret classified information. Gowdy knows exactly where to get the info Barr needs....it's like hiring a coach with the other team's playbook. That said, Gowdy is on record saying he didn't think Comey would be indicted, but in his opinion (as a prosecutor) there are others like McCabe who appeared to be guilty of committing crimes.

Shit's about to get real.

I can understand why Trump would benefit from Gowdy, but I don't trust the goofy ass looking all talk no show blow hard.

Now maybe he never got anything done because the swamp was all to mighty in his time, but again, if he's truly on Trump's side he'd be a big addition.

"
Outgoing South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy took Russia to task over alleged interference in the 2016 US elections and suggested President Donald Trump ask Russia to extradite its recently indicted nationals.
"Russia attacked this country in 2016," Gowdy, the chairman of the influential House Oversight Committee, said Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation."
Gowdy broke again with Trump in the interview by declaring the special counsel investigation led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller is decidedly not a "witch hunt" and pointed to the two rounds of indictments from Mueller against Russia for meddling in the 2016 election.
"

Gowdy disagrees with Trump and most of the Trumpkins on this board on the efficacy of Muellers work. (And this quote was before other convictions were made)
One has to wonder what his motivations are in wading into this fight...???

Gowdy seemed to follow the same path Lindsey Graham did, neither liked Trump at all until the Kavanagh hearings. To my surprise, they both really came to Trump's side after seeing just how unhinged the left had become. I've seen several interviews with Gowdy where he said the exculpatory (pertaining to Trump collusion) evidence being hidden by the FBI was shocking and highly illegal in the FISA warrant context. He said "I'm sure the IG will be taking a look at that."

As far as his motivations?? I would guess he wants a front row seat in what could be the biggest court battle in US history, and, I would not doubt he has his eye on the AG seat so he is going to try to gain favor with Trump in the likely event he is re-elected . Going to be some good TV.......lol. This is seriously spy novel shit.

I’m sorry. That picture with her wide beam continues to make me think that she needs a full escort down the highway with “Wide Berth” signs.

Just heard that Gowdy can't start until sometime in January 2020 due to "Lobbying Rules" after leaving the House... I'd guess he can work in the wings, but as far as public appearances, nope.... You can bet the farm he'll be loaded for bear when the time comes...

WALL STREET JOURNAL:
“As Mr. Schiff knows, a grand jury is a criminal proceeding. Impeachment is a political process in which the House defines the meaning of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Mr. Schiff wants it both ways: Run his secret hearings like a criminal grand jury, but then impeach Mr. Trump of political offenses even if the President committed no crime.”

THE NEW “FREDO” - HUNTER BIDEN

NEW YORK POST
“Hunter Biden defended his business dealings in Ukraine while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president — saying in a new interview that he “did nothing wrong at all,” but conceding that he displayed “poor judgment.”
“In retrospect, look, I think that it was poor judgment on my part. Is that I think that it was poor judgment because I don’t believe now, when I look back on it — I know that there was — did nothing wrong at all,” the younger Biden told ABC News in a weekend interview that aired Tuesday.
