X2 on Terry Blacks, damn good... That Beef ribs is amazing, just be ready as its probably $60.00-$70.00 ea.

Been going to Terry's for years.... Going to try La BBQ next.

I had Terry Blacks in Austin last night - Thx for the recommendaiton cdog.

You are spot on with the cost. 1 beef rib, a side of cream corn, and 2 beers was $65 all in but it was damn good. I think the rib itself was around $38.

Terry Blacks is expensive but best BBQ in Austin. If you like dive bars do Camino El Casino is a favorite. There is no good Mexican food unless you consider Texmex good.

Ya gotta check ahead on the Dino ribs. Some locations only offer them on certain days. Q’s like Snows in Lexington don’t do them at all.

Goldie’s our favorite down in Fort Worth does them all the days they are open. Or did last we visited.

We as in my son and I. Goldie’s worth the drive. Everything on the menu excellent.

That couldn't be the result of cutting $50 million from the police budget, could it?

Must be an unrelated coincidence.
That blows me away most people I know in Texas carry.

A sister of mine is in Boerne. She and her husband are retired sheriff from CA.

They went to the Bexar County debates on Wed and realized they have to get further involved politically.

They are very conservative politically and are the new Texans from CA that can counter balance those progressive locust that have descended upon Texas.

She went to a conference in Austin last week and was shocked.

They are going to do what they can to help right the ship.

I vote in Bexar Co myself

I've lived in Texas 45 years, never felt it was necessary until a month ago. The Dallas County DA is letting the criminals out with a kiss on the cheek and a good luck handshake.

Fucking moron.
Sounds like a state west of there...

Here for a few nights with @BUDMAN and his better half and a couple other friends. Never been to Austin or even Texas. Let’s see what kind of trouble we can get into here.

Easy three hour flight from LAX.
Leave your weed at home, or you might end up like Brittany Grinner 😆

Scotty Mccreary is at gruene hall tonight, Cole swindell is at JT Floores tonight. Saturday Cody Johnson is in Waco, Randy Rogers in Round Rock, collective soul and switch foot are in SA.

A lot of other smaller venues will have very very talented people tonight. Billy's ice house in NB has a good lineup most weekends. Luckenbach will have live music during the day all weekend.

https://12foxbeer.com is a great brewing operation by dripping springs to stop in at. This weekend and next weekend they have music for "foxtoberfest"

It just too flat for me. I need my mountains. View attachment 1157310

You're facing the wrong direction.

Will you make it out to the lake?

Venture south to the wine country of Texas.
If you go to the Salt Lick, remember it is BYOB.

I can imagine that is a kick-ass venue to take in some good country music! Walked through during the day time back in Feb and could imagine all the good times had inside that place of the years. Looks like one of a kind.

Agree, very cool place. Saw Ray Wylie Hubbard there on the patio doing a small session before his concert that evening. Tried to get last minute tickets but all sold out.

In the 3 years we were there we saw a lot of big and small names. Went with @DILLIGAF to see Junior Brown. Years ago before I lived there I got to see the King perform there, that was an experience I'll never forget. Gruene hall is a must go on a trip to the area IMO. This sign hangs over our stove in cave creek...tells you how much I liked that place. Those walls have seen more music history than arguably anywhere.

Did the bike tour around the city today. It’s a beautiful city for sure. People are really nice here and the hospitality is second to none. The women are gorgeous here in Austin. Traffic is horrible and drivers even worse.

Stopped at a few places for food and drinks along the way. Weather has been nice. Hot but not humid and cool at night. Kinda like L.A.
