So I saw on the news that even if he IS acquitted, he will always remain impeached.

Will he be able to run again even if he is acquitted?

A lot of this political stuff is way beyond my pay grade.

President Trump will always be ACQUITTED.The Articles of Impeachment FAILED.If all goes well today @ 1:00pm

:)
Once impeached, an individual must then face the possibility of conviction on the charges by a legislative vote, which is separate from the impeachment, but flows from it, and a judgment which convicts the official on the articles of impeachment entails the official's definitive removal from office.

Yes, he will always be classified as impeached and can still run and be re-elected.

It’s a trial, he will be acquitted..

the safe move was to block the witnesses and prevent any further testimony (what we have heard to date was all “opinions” anyways) thst could come out. Only takes one staff member to come out and say “xyz” and he woulda been screwed..

Sad thing is if they did call witnesses then all of the Biden families (and three others minimum) corruption would have come to light and it would have been awesome.. I believe it would tie all the way back to the Clintons and taken down one of the biggest crime syndicates in history. Unfortunately the Dems would have bribed or threatened someone into delivering testimony that would have likely taken out Trump as well.

To sum the whole thing up they tried to convict a sitting president on hearsay, ignored the fact that he clearly said he wanted nothing.. All for something Biden clearly did and bragged about on live tv.

to answer your initial question the next stop on the Trump Train is 2024. He is eligible for RE-election and even Nancy knew this impeachment was political suicide which is why she was so against it originally. Most die hard Dems are having to look at their own candidates in a different light because all except the most brainwashed knew this thing was a sham.

I believe they clenched 2020 for Trump with this.. After the Iowa caucus cluster fuck they have proven they can’t manage even the smallest of tasks..

Then having the DNC step in to take over and putting Podesta and others in high ranking positions in the DNC to manage 2020 after 16?

not to sound like Regor but..

I think what Romney just did will cost him his seat in Utah

His term is not up until January, 2025 and he will be in his upper 70's.

Regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with Romney's vote to impeach, I'm pretty sure he is not worried about his political future and does what he thinks is right.

Mike Pence accused Nancy Pelosi of planning to rip up the president's State of the Union speech all along, an accusation the speaker's office denied.

But a canny observer caught what appears to be the Speaker actually practicing the moves under the table before the speech was over.

Camera from behind the Speaker also shows the pages 'pre-ripped' as Pelosi made her final move when the President's speech was over.

Or he's just a vindictive asshole like Pelosi and is lead by his blind hatred of Trump.

I disagree. mittens won’t play the way he needs to in order to win against the dems. They throw shit at him and he will give a speech asking if we can all just be adults. He’s a spineless 1960’s republican. Works in ultra conservative Utah but not nationally.

Trump has given the libs everything back and more. He fought the way they do only better. He’s inside the dems OODA loop.

mittens has nothing to gain voting to convict Trump and everything to lose showing his tactical failures. Furthermore mittens looks petty with his little vendetta.

Trump will have his challenges because the dems will try to spin it as he was impeached and DJT will have to back it up with something. If he is smart I would say something along the lines of

partisan impeachment down party lines....... however look at my record on economy, jobs, forgiven policy, ect...... this cycle he will not be able to beat up the candidate as much like he did the Clinton’s as he now has a 4 year records. Most of the other candidates are pretty clean except Biden. Sander warren will be easy as they are socialist. Anyone else may be a slight challenge DJT has a lifetime of dealing with these kinds of people so he will be ok, but it’s not a slam dunk

I'd say if the charge don't stick you must acquit!! Bring up some of the black vote Cochran style.. :D

Or possible Acquitted = Vindicated.. But that's a big word for the general public.

Maybe "Free at Last!! Oh Lordy I'm free at last!"

Not sure, but I can guarantee you I'd be educating the urban communities on what transpired here and how crooked the Democratic party is, trying to sway that vote for November.

I'd be running billboards on employment levels for minorities being lowest in history.. and I'd be running billboards on the Democratic Candidates for President showing exactly how "diverse" they are and playing their own cards against them.

If you haven't seen all the Dem candidates lined up in a row.. LOL You owe it to yourself. These same dimwits are the ones saying Rich White people are the problem in America.. Yet they are all rich white people? :D You can't make this shit up.

@GRADS the reason it is in the lounge “temporarily” is because it’s a major event in the country that people are going to want to talk about. We have always made temp exceptions IE during election night etc..

Pretty sure I read here that he "ran away" from social media on election night, or shortly thereafter... so he may have never known there was anything political going on in here at the time. :p

He can still run. Nothing happens. Yes he is "Impeached" by the house forever, same as Clinton.

Mitt is just a disgruntled rino. He didn’t make it running for President. He didn’t make it on Trump’s cabinet. He is a butthurt hurt little man that can’t take it that Trump said mean things to him and his buddy Flake. He will live out his days in the senate voting against anything Trump and claim he is just being a good republican.

The debt will get us by the nutsac in our lifetimes. Pretty much beyond the point of no return.

Remember Perot calling it “that crazy aunt that lives in the basement. Everyone knows she’s there but no one talks about her.”

Don’t worry about the debt Or increased deficit spending. It is all under control after the election.

Wow. Not only is she a complete sell out for the USA she is a fricken stooge if she thinks her pre rip routine would not be noticed. Too bad she won’t get roasted for it with the media carrying the Dem party’s water.

Please for once .after asking numerous times . By many members . Can you or 530 give us 5 names of a president .that would curve out of control deficit spending (national Debt) after 3 1/2 years , you have not mentioned one person ? You can reply in the prf. Cause we have asked there 100's of times.

I don’t know any but Trump campaigned on that plan. He’s done the exact opposite. And as RD noted earlier, much of the SOTU speech was about big government and big spending.
