Hey guys, i have recently purchased this 2003 daytona 25 with a triple axel trailer. Ive launched the boat 3 times no problems. but this time when i turned in front of the ramp i noticed the front fork of the boat was very close to the truck. Well sure enough it touched and put a nice lil dent on the corner of the bed. no damage to the boat thankfully. My question is can i put a receiver hitch extender on there to solve this problem?

You could probably get a longer ball mount that slides into your receiver, but I would also focus on not turning so sharp.
The better option would be to have your trailer modified with a longer tongue if for some reason it was made extra short, maybe to fit in the previous owners garage.

Mine is long enough to put the trailer at 90 degrees to the truck

The ramp at my lake is kind of narrow. I'm thinking the same thing. maybe a 8'' extension . does anyone know the total weight of a 2003 daytona 25 single 496 HO bravo 1 2 step hull triple axel trailer?

ETrailer has a longer solid shank you can use. Bought 1 for my old F550 dump truck as the dump body over hanged a few. I use it to launch my Ski now on our shitty shallow launch ramp.

They sell hitch extensions. I wouldn’t advise long tows with it. Maybe just switch It out at the launch ramp prep area before launching. Note I said prior to launch ramp. Don’t be that guy taking forever to launch

I just measured the longer hitch. 13" inches from center of pin to center of ball. Other is 9". Rated for 1000lbs tongue weight and 10,000lb trailer.

Any guesses on the weight of the boat and trailer?

My current trailer and my new trailer being built both have extended length tongues for this reason. Swing away portion is 43”
