Uh, yeah...

The teachers here in Glendora make stupid money. As does my friend that teaches continuation HS. It's all public info, look it up.

And...

They are all teaching from home now anyway. My kids nothing But homework now! LoL

You enjoying working from home? I'm loving it!

What would be awesome if Everyone working from home cause of this, could stay that way after it's over. The benefits of that are exponential. 👍👍
Same here in Simi, not uncommon for a HS teacher to make 90k

It was Nationwide statistic. Read it back in 2003 when I obtained my Ca. Teaching credential working fpr Montgomery Adult School. I subbed for both Sweetwater, and the Escondido Union HS district. (To my Son's Horror!) I was a Tile instructor for Local 18 SoCal at Montgomery HS, 1999-2010 Sweetwater Union HS District. My classroom had a seating chart for 6 periods of Math, with 30-40 students a period. do the math. My Son's HS in Esco had 4000 students, 4 counselors. Try that in Baltimore?
After 40 years in the trade, Teaching was the most demanding years of all. By. Far. The Administrators make the Big Bucks. That's why I started working on my BA at the National Labor College. Full time IMI Tile Instructor at San Diego Job Corps 2004 -2010. Started in the trade in 1973.

Single male at above the threshold. I'll just sit and watch at the grocery store EBT dependents load up on store brand sugar waters, junk food and prime from the meats section.

I have been saying for years that there is NO difference between democrats and republicans except for the groups of people they each choose to exploit.

All presidents are members of the same social clubs therefore both parties work for their own interests and the elite groups of society who get them elected. Those elite societies are masters at divide and conquer.

I prefer the way Republicans will run this shit into the ground TBH

The Dems will also run this shit into the ground, but in a spectacularly shitty way.

I like your definition of politics. I'm going to add that phrase to my repertoire and use it whenever possible to appropriately describe folks. 🤣

Plenty of money for big business and McDonalds workers, but if you have a halfway decent paying job it looks like most won’t be getting any $$.

Maybe 75k per year goes a long way in various parts of the country, but for living in SoCal, that’s almost poverty wages lol. So it’s kinda BS when they say this will help most Americans.
If you struggle making 75k per year on one income, it isn't an income problem, it's a spending problem...stop trying to live like you make 150k, just sayin

Oh this wasn’t about my situation at all. I was just saying that 75k in California sometimes doesn’t go very far compared to a lot of places. Real estate/rent, insurance, gas, cost of living etc. is pretty high here. I tend to think a good chunk of Californians need to make more than 75k to keep above water. But you make a good point in that a lot of people live well beyond their means.

I wasn't being specific, the term you was generalized towards those that claim hardships while making good money. I agree costs are higher in CA but 75k is plenty to support one person living a modest lifestyle. Not everyone needs a new truck, house on the hill, rzr, rv, boat, ect. 75k isn't fu money but it's well above poverty level and plenty to be able to build a decent emergency fund to sustain a few months of hardship. Problem is a lot of people don't have the discipline to save for downturns even with incomes much higher than 75k.

Not sure where you got that tid bit from, but I can tell you the teachers here in Glendora have been at their posts for decades. I know a many of them personally.

My good friend that teaches continuation HS makes well over 100k. Got his Master's degree from APU. He worked hard to get where he's at.

He's my age and ready to retire. Well over 30 years at the same job. Life well lived. He has helped a shit ton of kids become real people. Runs into em around town all the time. Even as adults, remember him and say hi. That's what Really makes his day.

Most teachers are Damm good people. But just like in Every walk of life, there will always be a few douche bags.

From my experience, that six year thing just ain't right.

Pelosi has said the democrats want another one. Scary Kellyanne Conway said the White House is discussing more or a fourth bill. Mitch McConnel was just on Fox and said another package maybe necessary. Next will be billions tossed from real helicopters...………………...………..

And they will spin it saying it's the patriotic thing to do....

Lol!! You got that right! All they have to do is wrap bullshit in an American Flag and most people will buy it!

Maybe we'll see less arrogant Trump propaganda on this website once more people come to realize that he's an actor and full of crap just like Obama.

The only thing this stimulus will help is the government and their friends. Much like the last two that were passed under Bush and Obama.

I'm sensing in your posts you started leaning towards Bernie's ideologies, you know the guy who's championing is for the people ;) :D And , we all know that Trump is not a career politician or an actor. He was a developer and show host. Actors swing either way as their script demands.
Total debt to GDP ratio is 123.95 percent. That won't come down below 100 anytime soon, no matter who's at the wheel of the ship.

Your sensing is wrong, I do not support any socialist ideologies or candidates (Trump included). I support freedom and rights given to us by God, not the government.

Trump is not an outlier like they all want us to believe.

He's been in the media since the 1980's talking about becoming president. That's called mental conditioning (see the media thread). He belongs to the same social groups who strive for a one world dictatorship system just like all the other current candidates and presidents before him.

They want conservatives to believe that he's trying to "drain the swamp", but the democrats wont let him. That's such BS. It's all a game of divide and conquer. They use the media to keep Americans at war with each other while they screw us behind the scenes. That is called exploitation and both parties do it to their supporters who are too ignorant or arrogant to see it.

They're all on the same side (the side of big government). Trump is passing the largest stimulus package of all time that will only help government and the friends of government all while devaluing the dollar and taking more freedoms away just like Bush and Obama did under the stimulus packages they signed.

The massive bailout was already priced into the market, IMO. Only if it wasn't passed would it have a direct effect.

RM, I agree, most Teachers are Damn good people. I come from a Family tradition of Educators. Generations of Math students here in Texas fear my Cousin Mary Lou. Lol.
Above I explained It was a National statistic I read in 2003 while earning my Ca. Teaching credential. My career was cut short, but I am honored to have taught alongside with, and was taught in HS by, the Teachers you describe. I have employed hundreds of Apprentices in my Trade, for which I am very grateful to have had that opportunity, in the 37 years in my career.
I am also honored to have had that same experience with one of my former students 300 miles from home, in Laughlin. Yes! it sure does make your day.
