I have mixed emotions about this.

On the one hand I was in a casino(granted not in Texas) like cattle in a cattle car a few weeks ago with a large group and no one got covid that I know of. I was at a wedding with 100 drunk people and no mask, again no problems.

On the other hand I don't want to do this open/close/open/close etc. For the most part everything is open minus wearing mask so well see how this goes.

I just went there and wasted 10 mins of my life. Apparently, it is super difficult to look at Florida's numbers with all of their open businesses and schools. They make it seem like an apocalypse is coming.

To post on Reddit, is it a requirement that you have to be an insufferable, mouth breather living in your parents' basement?

I hear you. It merely opens up the choice. You are free to do as you please. If you want to wear a mask...wear a mask. If you choose to take it off...take it off. Should have been the choice all along IMHO.

Complete BS. Should have let it run its course as it's going to regardless. This would have been over already and the world would wouldn't be where it is and future generations wouldn't be still suffering from this governmentel disaster.

A couple months ago I was scrolling through the trending posts on Reddit and I found a post that was trying to normalize living at home with your parents over 30, the amount of people that still lived at home over 30 in that thread blew my mind. I now understand why Reddit is full of a bunch of soft ass people lol

In Calif what burns my steak is the fact that the libs/worriers/Karen’s/etc will literally freak out if you’re not wearing a mask... (credit the stupid no-mask crew that visited that Trader Joe’s)...

and everywhere you absolutely better be standing 6 feet apart from the next person...

mans then there’s the airlines:

maybe the airplanes have some “magic fuckin” hvac systems on them..

Because you’re gonna be sitting shoulder to shoulder with some other stinky person so
what the hell is ok about that?????

As the recall gets closer to 1.5M verified signatures, Governor idiot keeps making exceptions.

Hopefully people remember what he did and what is currently is doing. Keeps raising taxes with a forecasted 19B surplus this FY ending June 30

There are a handful of subs I follow. Mostly guns, real estate and car-related. Everything else is a bunch of entitled millennials.

Even the real estate subs get infected...people selling houses to the highest offer are "greedy" and "should put more emphasis on letters from prospective buyers" LMAO

We are in TX every three weeks and with the exception of going into Ft Worth we have been mask free for months. In Breckenridge, Graham and Weatherford no one wears a mask. For everywhere but the cities it is totally back to normal. One more reason it is so hard to come back to NM. Strange part is NM has a higher COVID fatality per capita than TX and has the toughest restrictions in the country.

It should all be done everywhere. The whole point was to allow hospitals to be prepared & they always have been. Freaking places were like a ghost town & just now picking up steam as people start attending to other ailments.

By contrast, my sister in law is very pregnant and recently found out she'll have to wear a mask while she is in labor

I tried to wear a neck gaiter on a flight to Texas last week, and apparently, that's a no no now. Got myself an approved mask for the 3.5 hour flight with a person 6" to my left. Boy did I feel safe... Especially when everyone has them off while eating snacks and drinking water. LOL we live in a strange world these days..

Good job Texas! Hope my boss green-lights my relocation request tonight. So ready to GFTO of this state.

Wonder how many businesses are going to still require masks.
Sure wish TX would take over CA

there will be some. Their right if private. The public thankfully has the same right now.

How does the governor have the power to raise taxes?

Man, the dufus lib mayor of Houston and the Harris County judge a lib female, are both going fucking ballistic over this!!! They say it's reckless and the governor is just creating "a distraction" to get people to forget about "his" handling of the power failures last month. These two slugs will do anything to keep shit going...unbelieveable. They both say that Harris County and city of Houston will continue to mandate mask wearing until they feel it's safe.

Mayor of Austin said the same thing.

So in other words, the governor can’t raise taxes.

He's the titular head of the California Democratic Party. His office works hand in glove with the assembly, and he signs whatever legislation they pass.

I'm happy to assist you with this brief civics lesson. Keep it in mind when your taxes increase again...and again.

Of course they are pissed off, distractions can only be used by liberals

That sucks.
My wife didn’t wear one at all...barely wore it in our room, either.

Her doc took his off every time we were out of sight from his office staff, or the hospital staff. He said it was BS and we had nothing to worry about if we did get the Rona, because we ‘re healthy with no underlying conditions. And kids/babies just don’t get the Rona.

The state of Texas will be wide open soon, but on the county level, they can still pose limited restrictions.

In addition to those mentioned above, the Dallas judge who oversees health ha salsa gone ballistic over this.

Idk why he’s acting like he’s so awesome, he already forced lock downs etc in his state, destroying millions of households, and businesses. Let’s be real by early May the world already fully figured out these masks were solely a compliance issue not a health issue.

Wish the rest of the country would get on board.

It's a Red State thing, they will follow.

Blue states on the other hand will continue to do what they do best, lie, cheat and control.

Texas for the most part has been opened (at least that's what I saw while in Wichita Falls) with the exception of having to wear a mask on occasion...
