Always been a 2 stroke fan. FF to the 7 minute mark.
Love that sound.
Makes me want to dust off the banshee and take it for a rip
Had this 85 RD500 for about 8 years and sold it...still kick my self in the ass everytime I think about it.that just plain awesome..
i used to have access to ride these bikes.. (sorry no details with who had these)
yamaha rg500 tuned by bj macdonald with r6 suspension
Aprilia RS250 with arrow pipes
Suzuki RGV-Γ 500
honda (2)nsr250 and 500
suzuki 250 lucky strike
honda rc 30
he was working on a yamaha 0w01 . not sure if that deal finalized ..
a few others i forget...
the 500's are just flat out lethal on the street.. yes they were all done street legal.
most these bikes had been tuned or built on top of the stock setup.
lets just say when u can pass cbr1000rr on a wheelie and he dont know what happened is the best ride ever..
damm i miss that fun. but never will i get on a bike again.. too many distracted drivers..
When I was racing a friend let me do some hot laps at Willow Springs on his TZ250 race bike, what a rush, hard to imagine what a 750 would be like.
This guys looks to be on track with a bunch of 250's based on the rear tire size and the way he is picking them off.
The terrifying part is sometime they would just seize up at speed, you had a millisecond to get the clutch in or you go launched.
Post some pics if you drag her out.Might have to fire up the rz500 for a little corona cure. Love the sound of these things.
I could only imagine...Freddy Spencer tested the TZ750 and told me it scared him big time.
Yep, per his own words "they dont pay me enough to ride this thing"Anyone remember Kenny Roberts and the Indy mile? Youtube it. TZ750 was the bike.
