Nothing better than riding with our kids, I’m in when Ace starts riding! Eli kills it, makes it fun for sure.I was joking but I want to do single track with Ace later on....
Thanks. Yes I have. I’ve been all over that mountain hunting, fishing, and riding. Interesting fact, Joes Valley was named after my 3rd Great Grandfather, Joe Swasey.Nice.
Have you ever been up to Joe's Valley?

Very cool, great pics! Looks like you were at the dugway just after the snow melted enough to pass, must have been July’ish or even later if that was this year?? How do you know the area?Wow. That is a very cool fact! How was it it was named after him??

I spent a week riding out of the Joe's Valley Reservoir campground. Fished out of the small lakes up in the hills as well. Beautiful country. Well worth the drive...

The Swasey’s were some of the very first in the San Rafael and central Utah mountain area in the 1800’s and named many of the canyons and land formations. They ran horses and cattle (some even legally!) and kind of had their way with the area, I’ve even heard they harbored Butch Cassidy at times. Tons of stories and history around there, the Swasey Cabin still stands in the San Rafael and has been restored for visitors.
Lol, that’s awesome. Sounds like you had a couple good outings, you’re due for another trip! Spring and fall in the desert here, and summer rides in the mountains, always good times!!File info on the pic says: July 19, 2006
Pretty good guess on your part!
A couple of guys in that pic live in Utah. Met them online in a quad club. When I saw pics they had taken, with snow on the trails, in mid July, i said let's plan a trip to this place! LoL
We had about 10 families total. Most from So Cal and the rest from Utah. They knew the area well. I was totally blown by the beauty up there...
We did a second trip in 2008. I wasn't so lucky that time!

Probably different, the Swasey cabin is only a couple of miles off I-70, not very remote anymore!I went looking for a remote cabin in the San Rafael on mules years ago...I wonder if that was it. Never did find it.

That’s awesome, cool experience!Ya that isn't it. We did find the Outlaw trail which is miss marked by the Forest Service and rode to Robbers Roost.
You’ve had some great trips and experiences for sure. We usually hit Havasu in October and April on our kids school breaks, maybe we can meet up sometime and discuss!Love your style...
Definitely long overdue. Great group of guys. We did a couple trips to St Anthony's, three up to Oregon, and too many other local trips to count. Most definitely miss those outings big time.
