Currently boatless though I have an intimate history with floating power. My grandfather served on LST-31337 and a few years after I was born he threw me into the deep end of lake st. clair from his boston whaler. After nearly drowning he reeled me in with a muskie lure and I couldn't stay away from the scene.
Since then it doesn't matter if its an inner tube down the green river WA, canoe in algonquin, kayak on the new river VA, triton 196 on torch lake, 89 42' carver out of marina del rey or even an evergreen state ferry I refuse to relinquish command until just before we run aground.
I knew havasu was a place yet never realized lower colorado river boating was a thing until well after I moved away from LA. Missed opportunity for sure, you folks should advertise more.
