The driveshaft on my '79 Schiada RC was 3" diameter and about 17" u-joint to u-joint before I gutted the boat. It was equipped with a TT 468 BBC, TH 400, & Casale.

Either 1 of those shafts should be fine!
I would be more worried about what size u-joint they have??
For ur application U could run a 1310 if U had 2 but a 1350 would be better and I think that’s what U had

there’s links a terminal velocity on the shafts depending on O.D. And length but ur no where near that with a short shaft like that and depends on what ur max RPM would be??

so say 3” OD. 68” long would max at 4500rpm. Same OD at 33” long would be 9000 rpm
    There’s also different wall thickness

Above post is dead on. Try to run the 1350 series driveline as it will handle and shock loads better.

Thanks, like i said I have two the 3" is what is in it now, I used the old u joints that were in it, now that I know everything works I wanted to Replace the u-Joints.
I also have a 2 1/2" shaft, and would have to change out the joints also. I'm running 25" long, with 454 386 hp @ 5500-6000 RPM max, with T400. Sounds like Either Shafts would be find. The boat is just a Cruiser.I'll have to check the size Dia. the 1310 is smaller thatn the 1350.Thanks
