I have a Vessel View 502 and am running the Lower River next Saturday.

What I want to know is if I can chart a route in this thing and save it??

Basically want to have something to reference again when I go back down there without a group of boats.

Well I’ve yet to see a GPS that didn’t track. But I got no idea on how to find it on vessel view

You can’t draft more than 3-4” anyways [emoji16]

I’m on the lower river. Just so ya know, your chart will only be good for a season. Possibly less. The sand above Martinez changes a lot. From spring to fall, the river can change from one side of a sandbar to another. Just food for thought.

That's good information, thank you!

Sadly, it is something on my boat I have not investigated....like virtually not at all. 😔

It is way over my pay grade.....lol

Pretty sure I will never use it to the full potential it has.

That's pretty much it. I consider myself rather computer illiterate overall. I've checked it out sitting in garage a few times and mostly all I saw was hundreds of red lines covering the map, which apparently was every trip the boat had been on.
It would be nice to have a safe path indicated on the map for a night trip if/when required or mark under water hazards. Think I saw that on someone's post during one of RD's midnight Topock floats.

3 dunes never moves....
😀
I avoid that place most times, especially weekends.
Kinda why it hasn't been a priority for me. I do know my way around most of the lake pretty well. If I venture into a new cove spot I will be at idle speed regardless.
