Vintage Cobra Race Team pics from Laguna Seca

In the early 2000s I was driving my cobra roadster replica to work and I was followed by an old man. He introduced himself and wanted to see the car. He said in his teens he was a worker at Laguna Seca and had taken pictures of the Cobra race team. The pics were in slide format and he was going to get them digitized. He later gave me copies of the below pics. I let the Shelby American Automobile Club see the pictures and they freaked out. They hadn't seen them before of course, and were amazed at the quality as typical pics weren't done in slides. They ended up publishing the pics in their 2016 yearbook.

That was the time period when Dave MacDonald was driving for Shelby. He was really showing his skills in the Cobras and other team cars. It was a damned shame Dave decided to run Indianapolis in Mickey Thompson's roller skate shitbox. He would have conquered all venues and challengers with his innate skills.
