Had massive engine oil leakage on the beater buggy and the neighbor diagnosed the problem. Fuel pump diaphragm failed and was allowing gas in to the crankcase. Drained about 5 quarts of fuel/oil mix from the case, installed new fuel pump, viola, no more leaks. Who wouldda thought? IMAG0068.JPG IMAG0069.JPG IMAG0070.JPG

:cool When this thing first ran the Apollo space program was in the news... My Dad and his mentor Joe Anderson used to roll with some Old Time Baja racers... Malcolm, Parnelli, James G. and Steve would stop by the shop to check out their Corvair powered buggies... so cool for a 10 year old kid to experience. Never see those days again, but it was great back then... Hussong's, Mike's Sky Ranch, San Quintin on the beach. It is ready for the Zombie Apocalypse if needed.
