I have owned this terrific car for almost three years. This VW is a blast to drive. Great torque, incredible gas mileage and a breeze to get around in. My daughter is out of state for college and will not need a car. I have three VWs and my truck. Hate to see it go. Why buy a Prius for way more money and give up a good driving experience. For kicks, I drove it last week to downtown San Diego from Santa Clarita for a conference and back; used half tank of gas. Santa Clarita to Havasu; less than $40 round trip...:champagne: http://www.gasbuddy.com/TripCostCalculator

If you know VWs, this is the sought after engine. No recall.

Rivermobster should sell his back to VW and buy this...he'd have $15k in his pocket.

I am going to sell mine back. I figure even after the dust settles, no way will CA let me keep it.

But I will tell you this...

What I have my eye on Is German, but not made by VW.

We shall see how this all plays out!
