My neighbors have an 81 vannogan wesfalia deal and he's trying to find a dual piston caliper for the front brakes that doesn't cost an arm and a leg . Does anyone know of something else that will bolt up ?
I'll get a pic and measurement when I'm over tomorrow.

It already has dual piston calipers on it.

Interesting. It's on his lift and he pulled the driver side front tire while I was there. Definitely a single on it now. Thanks, I figured you if anyone would know.

GoWesty.com is the source on everything Vanagon...he can give them a ring and check out upgrade options...but I'm curious what he's got on it now.

I was big into the Porsche world for a while... mounting ears were either 3" or 3.5" (metric equivalent I'm sure). Volvo had a caliper that would bolt on to the 3" and could take some pretty massive rotors (240 maybe?). Porsche 911 have had multiple caliper choices for the 3.5"

SSBC (stainless steel brake co) had some bitchen kits too.

SSBC is gone now

Well we're stupid I guess. theres one on each side.. I think think one may be frozen . In the mean time he'll order new pads and calipers and check out the disks.
