OK before everyone goes crazy on how much they hate the roll bar boats and they should be banned from the rivers or lakes etc etc,

I was wondering if there should be a Wakeboarding Section? It would be cool if there was a place to post pictures/videos of cool wakeboard boats, people wakeboarding, people wake surfing ( I know I know) hot chicks on the boats ( we all know the wakeboard boats are always full with hot chicks ) people sharing ways to use the tech in these new rigs etc.

The fact is Wakeboarding/Surfing is a very big part of boating which we all love.

Also it would be a nice place to post this stuff without getting heckled for families doing what they love doing.

It could also increase the traffic to the site.

Just a thought, I may have opened myself up to a bashing but what the hell !!! LOL

Thoughts?

And for good measure here is a picture of my son getting ready for a run! He 7 years old in this pic. Now he is 10, and progressing.

We've been trying for years, Dave got me all excited for a second when he bought the Tige, but that's about how long he had it so there that went 🤘😁🤘

I thought the same thing, but that was short lived LOL. I would think with the little ones its only a matter of time?

You can be a dock owner and have a wakeboard boat. I have always been curious why so many people post about dock damage on here View attachment 871271 , I wonder if it has something to do with water depth?

The river is narrow. By my old place its maybe 300’ wide. It wouldnt be unusal for a boat to be 15-20’ off my dock and the wave would wash up onto the dock.
Also, most docks are free floating fingers attached to the shore, so they flex hard hard with wave action.

In that pic it looks like the magic deckboat in the center is running north off plane kicking up rollers...Its the shooter; not the gun...

For sure, Memorial day all bets are off. Shelter in cabana!

That guy with the big Boston Whaler was the worst. LOL I have to say he sure made the most of his family time with that boat.

Sorry not everyone is the same. That would be like saying everyone with a power boat is a tool or has little man syndrome which I know is not true.

I think there are enough of us here to warrant it, and hopefully change the perception of who owns these boats. Being on this site has helped me to learn others concerns even before I bought the boat. I’ve never ran ballasted not pulling someone (unless it’s in the middle of nowhere testing setups), I’ve never put in at Parker, and the only time me and the other roll bars in my group ride is in some empty cove by ourselves. For as many inconsiderate wakeboard owners you’ve seen there’s an equal amount of asshole powerboat owners driving recklessly. It’s the drivers that are ball bags, not the boats.
And while there are dedicated wakeboarding forums, this place is more relevant to where we boat. Let’s do this!!

I am not a wake boat guy whatsoever, but I do have lot's of background in it (selling Nautique and Sangers for quite a few years). If I had time I would help for sure. Unfortunately (well fortunately really) my new business is absolutely insane and I have been working from 6am until 10pm lately.

It's not like it has not been stated before. WAKE DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY. But nobody cares until I get swamped and the law suits start.

well ^^^^^. And I were talking about doing it and he was gonna run it for me, and grow it.. but now he’s all busy n what not.

I don’t know enough about wakeboarding to be effective at drawing the crowd.. although I could probably fake it till I make it, because I know “Bu’s ride like budda, and kick off a tsunami on demand bro.” :D.

It might not be a bad idea, if you can draw a big enough crowd it may help bridge that gap between the performance and wake guys. Let the wake guys see why the performance guys are passed and maybe help spread the word of change. I'm willing to bet there are a bunch of wake guys that are going to have a good time dont realize the destruction that can come from a ill managed wake.

At this point in history a section devoted to actual wakeboarding at 21 kt. planing speed would be like a Vaping section devoted to smoking actual tobacco products 😕

I nominate blackmagic94 to run the forum! :D

Dave, I'll do whatever I can to help but I'm truly so buried right now I can't think straight. I can definitely make a few calls etc to try and get you hooked up with some demos etc to test.

I appreciate much if the technology and forward thinking on them but my actual interest in them is pretty minor (I like fast boats!). I will do what I can to help Dave out and grow the site.

Be nice, you might need one to tow you in when that jetbote starts pitching parts out the side of the block.
