Water Intake Question

I am rigging a v-drive.

How do most rig their water line to their headers? Before or after the water pump?
I was able to find an old school neovane pump with hall craft housing shown in the above picture.
looking for suggestions. Thanks!

I ran a Bassest T-valve off the intake manifold with lines to the headers.

the headers get water after the leaving the engine from the intake manifold through a TEE valve (bassett)
