I dont know what the Feds are up to but they are letting the water flow outta Davis Dam at 5 units all week then it looks like they are shutting off the valve for Memorial weekend. 2 Units is shallow getting down to Needles.

That’s for the people that leave their stuff on the beach. It gives them enough time to get there so it doesn’t float away because it was unattended. 😁

Parker strip has the weir. That's a BFD to the level control.
Hold that thought.

Looks like they have updated the site since then. Lowest release for Friday is 3 gates.

I am guessing this will make the mouth of the river where it meets up with Havasu pretty low as well. Sea Tow and Vessel Assist are going to be busy.

Those release amounts aren't ideal for boating a weekend like memorial day, but recreation is pretty low on the list of considerations when scheduling the releases.

The river was as high as I've ever seen it this last weekend.. The beach tables at pirates were in the water!! Normally there's is 20+ feet of beach to them.

Yea this past weekend was too high, tons of debris floating down. Saw two logs, my nieces thought were alligator’s, that could really ruin someone’s weekend.
