Same story at our house . Apparently that's why I'm bald . Mom took me to my brothers ball game at 6 months when we lived in Honolulu and scorched my head ! Haha

I got a sun burn at the age of 5 so bad that my mom took my to the er room. Quarter sized blisters on my entire back. Now it’s completely top to bottom freckles like a cheetah. I’ve been checked a few times, nothing yet.

I got torched up in Arrrowhead when I was a kid. Ended up in a bath of ice water.

Ive done the chemical burn on my face once already. Have some spots coming back. Might be time for another round *shivers*.

That is a scary yes. Grew up in RI and for most of my life til 19 my parents had a rental house in Cape Cod. Got fried plenty. The 70s were different. Yes. I had plaid pants in 72.

When i was a kid we would go to the lake and get burnt so bad my grandma would put cold cream on my back. it would have completely peeled by the next weekend and repeat, after 3 or 4 weeks i would have enough of a tan to not burn

I was sorta the same way...one good burn on the first weekend then I was good for the rest of the season. Now I mostly wear one of those long sleeve rash guard/cooling shirts...and an old man hat because I hate sunscreen and it’s more pleasant.

Btw...kid was fine...he was pissed off because we all started laughing as soon his trunks came off and we saw his white ass. The girls buttered him up some some overpriced good and he was good as new by morning.
