Truck is my 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali CCSB with 4x4 and Duramax. I weight 253lbs and the 36 gallon tank was fuel, luggage included might be a total of 600lbs. Add that to the 7,500 curb weight and tongue weight is about 900lbs.

I was pulling my wife's 2015 4Runner trail edition 4x4 loaded up with presents and a 1/4 tank of fuel. Steer axle is tow truck and drive axle is trailer which is a U-Haul auto transport tandem axle.

Here's a pic of the weight slip.

That is nothing for that truck. What is the GCWR on it? You have a class a license?

No max conventional is 13K and max 5th wheel is 17,100lbs so probably GCWR is 25K

And then?

Yea, I don't get it.

Did the Op get an overweight ticket or he is just showing his weights?

That load should be well under the GVW or tow capacity for that truck, even for a 1/2 ton.

No ticket. Just used a certified scale to weigh truck with trailer tongue weight at 9000 lbs and trailer without tounge weight at 6280 lbs for a CGW of 15280 lbs which really doesn't mean anything to the cops. They will look at Steer axle weight, Each axle weight and Total Combined Gross weight. I am sure that he is fine on all counts.
You have to be able to Scale Each Axle and Still be under the Gross to be legal.
I can guarntee that there are more guys with RV's, Coaches and Trucks pulling trailers that would never be completely legal if they were scaled.:yikes
