Interesting! I think the engine has to be in the boat and the drive outside, no? Wonder how that works. Elevated engine bay out of the water?

I saw a boat last week with the outboard mounted in a hole in the bow, by design. I wish I had taken a pic. It actually looked like a cool cocktail cruiser. Very unique.

Interesting idea. Definitely cleans up the boat and adds functionality.

Why? One of the large advantages of Outboards is the ease of service. This concept completely destroys that. Not to mention at idle that thing has to sucking up exhaust along with the fact that you can no longer trim the engines out of the water for storage.

Not a new idea. Somebody was doing this back in the 60's.
