I’m trying to find the name of this cleco style fastener. It has no name or marking on it and I’m having zero luck finding anything on it. Looking to purchase more of them.

I sent the pics to my Hillman rep and he didn't know what they are called and I have never been able to stump him. What are they used for?

Interesting design. Should be way cheaper than a cleco, but not nearly as strong. At first, I thought why bother since cleco's are so cheap. However, I just saw that actually, for the common man, they aren't. Seems like normal retail is about $1 a pop. Crazy, since our shop was selling them at ~1/3 of that, but to large aerospace companies that were buying hundreds or thousands.

You may try Aircraft Spruce in Ontario. Had some old aircraft stuff. I have seen those same clips in old pics. They may have been a precursor to clecos, or maybe a European design from way back? They'd be nice for sheet metal mock up...
If you find a source, be sure to report back.

Definitely not as strong or precise but on this job/jig it’s not necessary. Being able to index a new part on quickly without the tool is a huge plus. If not the traditional cleco will work just fine.

Thanks for trying. I’ve spent more time searching today then I want to admit. All this time lost looking I will never make up even after using them 1MM times. I asked on a huge aviation forum as well and no luck yet. Crazy.
