Just when I thought Sturgill was going off the deep end (his last album was ok but it was psychedelic really cool) he put this out:

Papa Roach are from where I live now.
Saw them at a small venue charity event thing here in town a few years ago. I was right at the stage. Don’t feel like trying to find the pictures now.
Got this autographed poster. 🤘

I thought they would be a good band to see live. Maybe someday. 👍

OG Hank...

...and oldschool George. I've watched a lot of Midnight Special and Old Grey Whistle Test vids, but I never saw this one; it's pretty good.

I was telling my daughter back in the day before music vids you had to find the household TV Guide and see who was scheduled to appear on The Midnight Special. "Why did they call it the Midnight special?" she asked 💡 ...lol, kids.

So many great songs, I remember wearing out the 8-track on this one...

just for the record, this is an OLD OLD song from his first band Sunday Valley, that album was released in 2011. The new stuff has been lackluster in my eyes, but I love the heavy bluesy psychedelic shit, with a country twist.

Yep, I think somewhere in this thread I posted an old rocked out version of this with Sunday Valley. But I’m on a big bluegrass kick lately.
